Quite fun how fickle fans are mind.

A few games ago half the board were Howe out. Now he's God again and we're getting relegated because we're 7 points behind you.

Can't wait to win the Europa League and knock you out of the Champions League when you finish above us again. ;)

Can’t compare Amorim to Howe.  We had such a positive atmosphere we just needed 1 thing to fall in our favour.

ETH has been the worst Man U manager of the lot.  And I thought Rangnick was a poor appointment too. They’ve signed a lot of garbage under those managers.

Ragnick was supposed to manage them short term to get a full understanding of the internal issues with the squad, before then taking up a consultancy role to restructure things from the ground up.

Don't think they even signed any players under him. Certainly not the types he was recommending to bring in.

Since when did a DOF need to manage and coach the team to get a full understanding of the internal issues?

The whole thing was just weird.

Froggy was raving about EtH at the time. Best coach out there, etc. Started to go wrong and it’s all the Glazers fault (he wouldn’t know what a bad owner is tbh…).

Then it was the players, Sancho, etc.

Just hope Amorim doesn’t let his spell at Manu adversely effect the rest of his career.

Like Amad, Garnacho, Hojlund, Yoro etc.

He needs to stop being asked about how difficult it is. He keeps giving the same answers.

For every one of them you have bought, there is a Casemiro, Weghorst, Evans, Dubravka, Butland, Erikson, Varane, Ronaldo, Heaton, Cavani, Ighalo, and Lee Grant.

Since they asked him to do it. We've seen other interim appointments till the end of the season.

Based on what he had to say at the end of it, it looked like a great call, had they bothered to follow up with his recommendations and keep him on to restructure the club.

It seemed to give him a greater insight to all of the issues they had internally with the players. And every problem he raised is still in place there up till now!

If the team keeps losing games, will they just keep him in there regardless?

Am I reading this right -

Surely the board must be backing him in the long term - or are there factions - each trying to get the better of the other - as if he thinks he's up for the chop - then that's another 30m gone down the pan.

15m for paying him off and 15m for the next idiot.

If it were me - i'd have someone at that press conf - and draw a line under those types of questions - as it does him or the team no good.

It's not like I'm wanting them to succeed - oh no - far from it - but it just the timing as he hasn't been given that long.

For me - I'd put the whole squad up for sale and get rid of the overpaid wasters - then start again from scratch - like City did when they went down.

On the presser bit, I find it bizarre how every club/country has a press officer sitting at the end of the table for every single one of these yet managers and coaches still find themselves being asked and answering random non-football-related questions or things they won't necessarily know the answer to. See Taylor, L asking Howe about the clinical definition of gambling addiction or whatever it was, Carsley and the national anthem, Southgate and goodness knows what, that time Howe was asked about executions, howay man.

Had no idea this was already being discussed there :o

In that article it says he actually asked to join in the summer and Berrarda insisted on him coming in now.

Seems he knew himself implementing what he needed to would be best done in the summer.

Pushing for him to come in now is looking a really bad idea, and if the loses keep piling up, not sure how they can just keep him there.

They have PSR difficulties too so sacking him getting someone else will be difficult.

Maybe if he’s not up for it this season but needs a summer transfer window they will put him on sabbatical and give Fergie the job until end of season

And again - which club asks their DOF to be their interim manager?

Weird behaviour from shit leadership. Glazers are legit awful.

Agree they might as well have listened to him. But he didn’t need to tank the team and his reputation to get that analysis.

You've named 4 keepers there who were free and signed as third choice man. you need to do a bit better than that.

Ragnick also had previous extensive experience as a manager though.

Once they got rid of Ole and we're going to wait till the summer, I think it made sense to put Ragnick in there on an interim basis. He could then also start reviewing things to change long term in a more executive role.

Usually clubs just put some assistant in charge anyway.

Rangnick had been managing for a combined 2 years in the previous 10 years. Being 60+ years old and never managing a club close to the stature of Man U. He should have never managed the club.

The stint was a horror show and undermined his credibility.

Better to give it to some youngish assistant than Rangnick. Carrick, the Ipswich gaffer - whoever.

Watching this back. And they gave the cunt a new deal:lol:

Heart completely gone. He's finished and he's career will end like Dele and Lingard.

Raahford in that game at SJP put in one of the worst performances I've ever seen from any player, ever.

Players are often shite but it's actually quite rare to see a player so brazenly not trying. Wasn't even bothering like.

PSR will not be a problem for them in a week or so just watch. Both Manchester clubs will spend big

Nah man. I disagree.

Ultimately the point was to figure out the issues at the club from ground zero.

I guess ultimately it made no difference because they didn't even listen to the man anyway.

Putting in Carrick or McKenna would have just been another Ole situation. The team does a bit better till the players can't be bothered again and then down tools.
