54
Just reading the BBC Sport live blog and got reminded of "Project Big Picture" Quote In 2020, Premier League clubs "unanimously agreed" that 'Project Big Picture' will not be "endorsed or pursued". The controversial plans, proposed by Liverpool and Manchester United, were rejected at a meeting of the 20 clubs in England's top flight. What was proposed? The Premier League cut from 20 to 18 clubs, with the Championship, League One and League Two each retaining 24 teams. The bottom two teams in the Premier League relegated automatically with the 16th-placed team joining the Championship play-offs. The League Cup and Community Shield abolished. Parachute payments scrapped. A £250m rescue fund made immediately available to the EFL & 25% of all future TV deals. £100m paid to the FA to make up for lost revenue. Nine clubs given 'special voting rights' on certain issues, based on their long time in the Premier League.

TheBrownBottle
2 hours ago, Mahoneys Tache said: I’m thoroughly enjoying the scenes of them protesting about how their club is being ruined by corporate greed. They never said a fucking word when they declined to participate in the FA cup so that beckham could ponce about in a fucking sarong on the beach in the club World Cup. Delicious irony. Wankers. The FA created that issue in fairness - they insisted that Man Utd go to Brazil for that daft World Club Cup shite, and then refused Man Utd permission to play a reserve team in the third round. Which of course they’d start doing regularly after the competition had been undermined so thoroughly by the holders not being in it. The FA wanted shot with shit for doing that - the Cup should’ve been absolutely sacrosanct; who gives a shite about hosting a World Cup next to damaging the FA Cup? Never made any sense to me. Kid Icarus
Think I said it in the match thread but that save from Vicario was Sancho's first shot on target since Boxing Day. He's ridiculously one dimension and predictable when he has the ball on the left.

I get he has attitude problems but given how good he was in Germany I didn't see it being anywhere near this bad.
andycap
Might be the poor coaching since coming to England. Ten hag and the Chelsea fella might not be getting the best out of him.
alexf
I think he lacks the yard of pace needed to be an effective winger in this league. He's got great close control and dribbling ability but without that fear that a player is going to go past you, defenders can back off and defend you alot easier. It's why Saint Maximin didn't look anywhere near as dangerous once his injuries robbed him of that explosive speed. Same for any other aging players over the years once they lost a yard. Disco
Nemanja Matic calling Onana a big pile of shite in his pre-match press conference. Jadon Shitshow is only good with overlapping full backs to play off which he's not had in the entirety of his time in England. Man United fans hate him nearly as much as Rashford. 54 Posted Thursday at 16:24 Share Posted Thursday at 16:24 Manchester United legend Eric Cantona says the club is being destroyed under the co-ownership of Sir Jim Ratcliffe. "Since Ratcliffe arrived this team of directors try to destroy everything and they don't respect anybody," said ex-United forward Cantona, who made 185 appearances for the Red Devils from 1992 to 1997. "I feel sad to see United in this kind of situation. They decided something else. They have another strategy, another project. "I support United because I really love United, but now if I was a fan and I had to choose a club I don't think I would choose United." Cantona, who was capped 45 times by France, said United "needs to find its soul again" as he questioned the wisdom of Sir Alex Ferguson's impending departure as a global ambassador. "He doesn't want Sir Alex Ferguson as an ambassador any more. He is more than a legend," said Cantona. "The soul of the team and the club is not in the players - all the people around is like a big family. I think it's very important to respect these people like you respect your manager and team-mates." Cantona, 58, also criticised Ratcliffe's plans to bulldoze Old Trafford in favour of a new ground instead of redeveloping their spiritual home. He added: "They even want to change the stadium. The stadium is iconic. For me, Arsenal lost their soul when they left Highbury and I'm sure a lot of fans miss Highbury. "Can you imagine Liverpool playing in another stadium than Anfield? It's impossible. I don't think United can play in another stadium than Old Trafford."
