Would we take any of their mob that had potential and could well be improved if they were on offer in their sell off sales.

Diallo would be good for one of our problem positions, but I don't think they'd let him go. It looks like we need another CB, and I'd consider De Ligt or Yoro, depending on the price.

Of the ones who they are likely to let go, I rate Garnacho, but we don't need a left-sided winger.

Ahhh, finally the sweet smell of victory at OT in the league.

The great thing was it wasn't even close. We gave them an absolute thrashing. Great for our confidence and hopefully has them flirting with relegation. Let's see how many of the glory hunters flee like rats from a sinking ship.

I think I would want better than Diallo if we’re talking someone to start for us every week and improve our results.

Wrong, but close.

Wrong, but why would you assume that? I can get from my door to Old Trafford in 3 hours.

you are always on this Newcastle United forum

Correct. Love you all so much.

Even when Man Utd are playing you are on here

Correct. I'll usually pop a message in at half time aye, but never or very rarely during a game. I like people on here, I've built relationships with people on here. It's my outlet.

You don’t partake in Man Utd forums, not sure if you go on other forums or not.

Correct. I don't like the negativity on online forums about my club. It's completely different when it's opposition fans doing it. When it's our own fans, it makes me angry, so I avoid it.

Clearly they were one of the teams people in Ireland grew up supporting when you were younger, so you likely picked them because they were possibly the dominant team at the time

Even sillier. I liked the colour red. My Mum was a glory hunter, and snatched the opportunity. I was in Man United tops by the time I was 3. I don't even like red anymore.

you’ve never really fell in love with them have you?

I most certainly love my club Stifler. I went to my first game when I was 7. I've been a Manchester United member for over 20 years. i've been a member of the supporters trust for 16 years. I'm a member of three supporters clubs and share a season ticket. I also own stock in the club and am steadily going to increase my share to eventually buy out the Glazers.

It all depends on the price and wage. At the right numbers I'd certainly look at Maguire for some cover at the back. I'd even look at Zirkzee for half the price they paid. Onana is an upgrade on what we've got, but as a starter i'd want better, whereas the other 2 are competition for places (and cover)

Onana is fucking dung. I'd swap for Pope no problem.

Any time he has a decent run of form he regresses and starts throwing the ball into the net.

It feels odd that Maguire is the one that has come out of the last year or so with the most credit, given how absolutely hounded he was for a few years.

I still think he's a decent, if very limited, defender, and in the right team that plays the right football he'd thrive. He'd do wonders at a team like Forest.

It will be really interesting to see Amorim fight the fight protecting his way and style of play vs. media asking him every bloody week if he will chop and change it.

Don’t know what the right answer is though. I felt like Howe moved us to a 4-3-3 very quickly from w/e nonsense Bruce had us playing…but played solid defense > counter attacking football with some elements of pressing. Then that summer went to a high octane, high press style we know and love today. My armchair football manager mind says you use a very simple system for this Man Utd team and consolidate defensively and slowly morph to the system he wants them playing? But the fuck do i know.

No. None of them.

That's not because I don't think any of them would improve us, they surely would. But fuck them. They're in a PSR hole, let them rot there. It's great to see and we shouldn't be thinking about helping them.

Remember how they were over Lingard? They can eat shit. There's plenty of good players elsewhere.

Imagine being the Man Utd manager and admitting that relegation is a possibility :explode:

What's the alternative? Be like Ten Hag and say we won the passing even though we got thumped? Players need a boot up the hole. The ones who continue to work are the ones who will be kept.

Still? I thought after a dreadful start he picked up and played well for you last year. I remember his passing into midfield being a bit of a bugger to play against at your place .

He did pick up and started playing well, but he's had another few horror shows this season. The goal he conceded against Forest was shocking and Wolves scored straight from a corner against him as well. Just weak as piss.

He can pass like, I'm not going to take that away from him. He's just a fat midfielder.

He's a better player than pope, pop thr better keeper, but he's not a big enough leap in quality to change.

He's another one swallowed up by the pressure of the club, somewhere else and he's less prone to error Imo.

Maybe something in between? The players will down tools and see him out the door if he doesn't get them on side, especially if they are against the formation change. Like it or not he has to get this group of players working until probably the summer where big changes can take place.
