He’s talking like a man who wants his payoff tbf.  Proper Cloughie at Leeds vibes.

edit: mind, if that happened, then Brexit Jim spent six months chasing Ashworth, created a load of fuss, paid us millions to buy out his contract, sacked him when he suggested Southgate instead of Amorim costing millions again, sacked Amorim at a further cost of millions, only to appoint Southgate in any case.

Please do it, you useless tax dodging cunt.

It’s a Richard Keys opinion piece, so it’s 110% wrong, and 150% said to gain attention.

The only surprising thing is he never suggested Howe as his replacement, just to fuck off our fanbase once again.

That’s a disgrace if the government put a single penny towards it

If they did, I'd go against all my principles and vote whoever is the party to challenge them, be it Reform or Tory.

Maybe it won't be financial help but regulatory to approve planning instantly.

I saw this discussed on SSN and was thinking this government will be helpful to push through our plans for a new stadium even if there are blockers

Not sure I’d go that far but protests against it would certainly be needed.

That's absolutely fine. Backing it with removing the usual red tape slowing the UK down is one thing, but playing any part in funding it would be a massive mistake.

Not sure why any funding would be a massive mistake to a point sure. If they contribute sufficient to get a benefit via taxation or growth from the funding I don't see how this is a bad thing

Socialising the funding and privatising the revenue for a club that's already extremely wealthy from its privatised revenue is an absolute con job.

Manchester has already had the Etihad regeneration

It has the BBC

Newcastle got a white elephant battery factory in Blyth that inevitably went to shit before a single battery was ever made. And we can’t even get enough money to pay for all the paint we need to tidy up the Tyne Bridge

Who can I sue about this plan to pump even more money into Manchester ?

The cunts in Westminster are Mr Bumble the beadle and Tyneside is Oliver fucking Twist

We shouldn't have any planning issues for New St James Park now then.

We still will in my opinion. They’ll only open it up for hosing, and so far, like every other government, they haven’t actually done anything that would smooth the planning process.
