Think people are being overly harsh on the guy. He had a few good moments yesterday for example when he fainted to shoot but instead passed to Reviere and almost got on to the end of the return but was knocked out by the Hull defense but no corner was given to us, plus he got off a  shot from Mike Williamson's cut back which was at the keeper I accept but he got him self into the position. There was one or two others as well.

5 games into a new league, new country in the worst team with the worst manager he could have chosen where all of his team mates are playing shit and he gets stick

He annoys me slightly when he goes down and stays down too easily and starts moaning for too long. Just play, man.

But clearly a lot of his deficiencies so far have more to do with the system and players around him. He's clearly a talented lad, and came alive yesterday when things got more hectic and he had movement around him. We know he has a good shot on him too, yet didn't pull the trigger in the first half despite having three good positions to unleash from. Needs a bit of confidence to kick in.

It was remarkably predictable that Cabella and Riviere would both take time to adjust and really show themselves, just given the types of players they are. It is also remarkably predictable that the lunatics who run this asylum would not consider this and put these two new players in position where they have to be the focal points of the side. Is it really this surprising that the flighty, skillful, and slight attacking midfielder is struggling to find the pace or physicality of the game early in his time? Did they not take into account that this only slightly above average Ligue 1 striker might struggle being thrown up top alone with little support?

We are in only September, and both players are already reaching a crossroads with supporters because of the way they have been handled.

One thing I will say is, that video against Arsenal that KaKa was ramming on about didn't exactly make me realise he was a much better player than I've seen, like.

The highlights of him from last season look a lot better imo. Still no Ben Arfa like, which is who he's replacing.

Especially considering the hooha around signing too many players from outside the league the season we were nearly relegated. 18 months later and we've done the exact same thing
