jdckelly
Keith Downie @SkySports_Keith 1h Remy Cabella will not travel to New Zealand with Newcastle for their pre-season tour. He's been granted more time off on holiday.
AyeDubbleYoo
@raisbeck10: Cabella: "I know Hatem Ben Arfa, Massadio Haidara & went to school with Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. It helps to know the French players." #nufc He must be brain damaged if he's friends with all those and still came here?! I was thinking that. Or it means that Mapou and HBA are key parts of Pardew's plans again!

mattypnufc
Good to see him smiling. More can be said about me and the impending feeling of doom for the season ahead.
Kanj
Talks to dudes who seem frozen out minus Sadio. Comical man. I don't really get it at all.
Mattoon
Pardew can't help but get in the "my fans" line again, he has to sap the joy out of everything.

Teasy
Might be giggs but SSN are claiming the fee is 9m Euro's (just over £7m). Seems low, maybe its that plus bonuses.
Guest palnese
Thought we always paid upfront, no bonuses included in any deal.
Teasy
Think that just means we don't pay in instalments rather than not doing bonuses. As in if we agree to pay £7m plus bonuses they get £7m in one go straight away, while most clubs would pay the £7m in instalments spread of 2 or 3 years. A few sources have mentioned bonuses with this transfer anyway so it seems likely we're paying something extra (unless its a cup winning bonus )
loki679
Yeah but if someone said to Mike they'd give us him cheap but we'd owe them another few million if we won something he'd laugh his tits off. Might as well say we'll owe them another £2m when Kinnear is the first man on mars.

Does seem low when GFNF were saying Nicollin wanted €18m inc bonuses. Most seem pretty sure it is £12m. Still struggle to imagine what these bonuses would be. Clearly not success based considering our aversion to the concept, and if they are appearance based, we'll just pull a Gutiérrez (allegedly).
Ameritoon
There's been a few different fees thrown around. I have hard time believing we paid any club £12m, and Montpelier did the same shit with the MYM negotiations and we got him for pretty cheap. I doubt it's anything higher than £10m

Kanj
I still can't believe we actually pay for fees all up front when no other club does that.
AyeDubbleYoo
I still can't believe we actually pay for fees all up front when no other club does that. Probably part of the reason we manage to get these guys (sometimes) for reasonable prices.
AyeDubbleYoo
RÉMY CABELLA | Goals, Skills, Assists | Montpellier | 2013/2014 ...shows a couple of great assists off both feet and even a decent set penis or two. Doesn't actually look as physically weak as I thought either.
Teasy
Probably a throw back to when Ashley arrived and realised how much we still owed for past signings.

Pilko
Eh? Didn't the Montpellier manager talk about our first 'derisory' offer which was supposedly around the 7 or 8 million mark?

TRon
Sky Sports understand that Remy Cabella cost Newcastle just over £7million. All up front. Sounds about right. As if we would ever pay £12m for an unproven player. Knew it was bollocks first time I heard it.
