Top CM from the league champions going to the team who finished 10th. :anguish:

And this is what is completely wrong with modern football a team like Leicester has a fairytale season that could define the modern era of the club for many years to come yet winning the league and playing champions league football earning a fantastic living isn't enough for these mercenary c***s all they want is the money and to move

Same happened with Atletico when they won the league they lost Diego Costa, Filipe Luis etc

How are these teams supposed to play catch up to these cash hungry whores when even winning the league isn't good enough for these absolute c***s of players

i hate it it really boils my p*ss you don't get that in US sports unless there is a trade the top player ends up playing for a s**** team because he then has the prestige of having made it to the NFL,NBA,NHL,MLB etc

What we do over here though, which I think European football could benefit with some form of, is that we trade players, we don't buy them. So if Kante wants to go to Chelsea, then Chelsea and Leicester would have to negotiate a player or players to go the other way. That way you're essentially getting the same quality, or hopefully the same quality, instead of losing really important parts of your squad outright. It brings way more parity to the league.

So we trade a Colback for a Colback ? Fuck that

Not at all?

You trade for what you think Colback is worth. That could be two youth products. It all depends.

And obviously this would never happen, but it would go some distance to fixing a few of the problems within the transfer market.

Ah so we just give Colback away. I think something needs to be done around the finance side but quite like the buying of players, however teams like Chelsea shouldn't be able to hoover up all the talent and put 20 players on loans. There should be a limit.

Maybe players should be made to see out at least 2/3 of their contract and outbound loans should be limited to first team squad only / limit total number of players classed as non-youth players to 30/40 with a vast proportion being British born.

I don't follow American sports at all but say Kante gets traded for Matic surely Leicester would need to be able to pay his wages and Matic agree to the move for it to go through so even then it's going to fall down.

Don't get me wrong I'd love to see more parity between the haves and the have nots and not just in the the UK but across Europe where great clubs like Ajax, Anderlecht, Red Star, etc are a mere footnote these days.

Probably worth another thread for the first 10 posts before it descends to AIDS.

They've just achieved the biggest prize in english football stay at the club become legends build the club up over a period of time with new additions make the club a force in england and europe

don't just jump fucking ship after 38 games. This cunt would still be stuck in french lower league shite if Leicester hadn't given him the platform

Easy to call them money grabbers or whatever but what more can they achieve at Leicester?

Nothing really. Nor do they owe Leicester anything. Really hate how flippantly terms like "money grabber" or "mercenary cunt" are used to describe any player who moves for money (or ambition). If Leicester can't (or won't) pay them what they're worth, why shouldn't they move to another club who will?

And Leicester's being "rewarded" for unearthing Kante. They'll be able to strengthen their squad with the money from the Kante sale. To say nothing of the fact that he helped them win the league last season, which should be reward enough for that club.

It's the system you should hate, not the player who's made the most rational and logical decision.

Haven't Leicester just bought pretty much the exact same player as Kante from Nice but for a third of what they've sold Kante for? Sure I read this Mendy guy has the most tackles in Ligue Un for last season and was really underrated in HBA's Nice team
