He won't even be first choice for them will he? They've got arguably the best centre back partnership in the league. Guess Wimmer will be off and he might take his place

Surprised you of all people missed out on the Wimmer away thing. The Lion must be Asleep tonight.

Apparently Wimmer is off to West Brom which possibly frees up Johnny Evans to go to City

Ah a true transfer merry go round.

Didn't realise Craig Dawson's contact is up end of the season so if he leaves and Evans too Pulis will be desperate for more centre backs with old man McAuley close to retirement age.

There was a time we could have had Evans (Cisse gobbing incident probably didn't endear us to him/vice versa) and van Dijk from Celtic. What a difference those two could have made (though we probably would not have got Rafa as doubt we would have been relegated).

I also doubt that he'd qualify for a work permit but I'm sure Spurs will get around it

Isnt there some kind of "talent" waiver? He would definitely qualify. Interesting that he chose Ajax over Barca last year cause he wanted to develop but then chooses Spurs in the end. Probably the right choice considering Poch should be able to continue his development. In my opinion he is still very raw and not top of the Prem level yet...although considering some of the CB's on the big clubs, he should be just fine

Barca should sign Lemar. He looks ready to slot into their team.

I agree, if there's any justice they'll sign him. He'll have the weight of the world on his shoulders though.

I think he'll be able to handle it. He looks pretty mature for a 21 year old. I've only seen a few Monaco games but he's got a style similar to Iniesta.

Liverpool have rejected a third bid from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho - believed to be in the region of £114m.

Liverpool are mental for rejecting that unless they think they can get more from Barcelona.

Could easily bring in Van Dijk, LB and a younger Coutinho replacement for that.

More likely the asking price for Van Dijk goes up by 20m

You say that but Southampton will try for as much as possible too, especially if Liverpool have their pockets lined publicly.

Nowt stopping Southampton from asking for 70m.

Basically, the money Liverpool get would be worthless without a replacement.

I don't really think Liverpool need a direct first team replacement for Coutinho, they could easily get away with:

Salah - Lallana - Mane

with Firmino up top and possibly look to bring in a younger player to fill in Coutinho's position. Agree they'd be better off buying Van Djik before this deal happens though

I'm all for Liverpool rejecting bids tbh. Anything to reduce player and agent power is good in my book.
