Rather get Doumbia in on loan.

If we're after two, I'd take him. If he fails and doesn't hit the ground running it's hardly his fault. If we go down, it's a 20-30 goal striker guaranteed for our promotion push. I think he's got something about him.

I'm gonna say if no one has tried to buy him yet in the PL then there's probably a good reason why.

Charlie Austin has only just been signed by a Premier League club for the first time in his career this month.

And imagine if QPR thought last year 'nah, no one's taken a punt on him in this league so there must be a reason why...we'd best sell him and get someone proven'.

£11m is a lot for a Championship club to spend on one player if they don't get promoted - maybe they wanted to be able to offload him or reduce his wages if they don't go up this season?

You have to wonder why with his scoring record, he hasn't been signed by a Premiership club yet, though.

"I understand Jordan Rhodes' transfer from Blackburn to Middlesbrough is off. It seems the amount of money Rhodes wanted in bonuses was at least partly to blame."
