WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Lee Ryder's guide to Kiwi lingo. 2. chocka Translation: Full. Usage: "The stadium would be chocka if the All Blacks were playing" 4. looker Translation: Attractive person. Usage: "That girl in row five is a bit of a looker" 6. sweet as Translation: Generic phrase of concurrence. Usage: "You want me to cheer for Newcastle on Tuesday? Sweet as." 9. dreaded lurgy Translation: Illness. Usage: "Yeah, nah, the boss has got the dreaded lurgy and won’t be in today." 16. soccer Translation: Football. Usage: "Yeah, nah, I wish more New Zealanders called it football and not soccer." Thank fuck for that. Could've gone over there myself one day and had no idea what they were going on about. John P
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-tour-lee-ryders-7466454 That is quite honestly the worst written article I think I've ever seen from a 'professional' journalist. It's just scandalously bad, I would have been disappointed to write something like that when I was 12.

I should get it free consider the amount I've handed over to see them play in Wellington. I haven't checked the details but apparently the ticket is for two games. Watching two football games back to back makes my stomach turn.
