I actually think the supposed lack of work rate from HBA was one of those myths that built up without any real evidence.  I always thought he worked pretty hard for the team to be honest.  I genuinely can't think of many matches where he neglected his defensive duties to the extent people claim he did.

Agreed. I genuinely believe Pardew's ideal wide player is Willian.

I had a real dislike for Camoranesi for no real reason. He got right on my tits, the way he ran, everything.

Souness is a good example of someone who by all accounts seems like a thoroughly decent bloke, with good opinions on football when they're a pundit, being a manager and throwing it all out of the window because their ego overrides everything that they should know and probably do know deep down.

Don't think he's a particularly good pundit but next to Jamie Redknapp he would seem like a genius. He's definitely a graft over talent football person. talks a fair bit of common sense.

Having played his best football under a tactics first, foreign manager I find Jamie Redknapp very interesting despite his annoying voice. Neville seems to be a student of the game and has an openness in his thoughts which is refreshing.

I'm almost convinced that as a general rule the biggest egos in football belong to those who set up their team primarily to nullify. There are exceptions but the nicest, most self-deprecating ones at the forefront of the game let their players off the leash.

It does seem to be a general rule in there.

Cruyff has very strong beliefs on the game and won't waive them for anyone, whether they are right or wrong.

But I don't believe he's overly arrogant above his achievements level.

Basically he is Dutch.

Be very interesting to see where he ends up after Hull.

He looks shit now to be honest and overweight. Will end up at galatasary on a free

What's funny about that?

Nothing actually, it's a deeply depressing opinion.

He isn't the player he was at the peak of his powers here. Nothing pro anti pardew about this its just what I think. I hope he proves me wrong but he just doesn't seem to have it like he used to

He's had about 4 games worth of appearances this season, "he looks shit."

Pretty clear how Bruce views him too, the same way Pardew did, his 'little bit of magic'. He needs to play 90 minutes week in week out and be allowed to do what he wants on the ball, no restrictions, otherwise it's pointless even having the lad.
