Hatem Ben Arfa (now retired?)

Recommended Posts

Still really pisses me off that this spineless bunch of players were one of the reasons he left. Apparently he was unpopular in the dressing room because he wasn't a team player they moaned and he didn't track back yet the likes of Gouffran does this week in week out yet appears to be immune from any criticism from those inside the club.

NUFC really is rotten to the core from Ashley, through to the coaches and the players. The tea lady must be the only decent person in there.

Excellent player but obviously seems to cause problems behind the scenes every where he goes. Players seem to improve in the eyes of fans the less they play. Its not like he went to Hull and lit the place up

Tbf nobody could go Hull and light the place up. Even Carver managed to go there and win. Ben Arfa probably scored 2 of the best 10 goals I've seen at SJP in my 30+ years of attending. He would be superb in a good side with the talent he had. Of course some of our fans would rather watch Gouffran and Sammy because apparently "at least they put in a shift".

Read the thread, most love watch him play - when he played.

The acceptance of the opinion that he wasn't worth the hassle, was selfish, lazy and a bad influence amongst a very high number our fans tells you everything you need to know. Sad, gullible people with no backbone. I hope they're happy with Gouffran plodding about doing absolutely nothing except giving the ball away almost every time he receives it each match.

I love the argument that he didn't light up Hull. Bruce has spent loads of money and still manages to fit his son, McShane and Meyler into the starting lineup. Look at Tom Ince, he's been tearing the Championship up since joining Derby and he was excellent in Hull's loss against Arsenal in the FA Cup, yet Bruce refuses to play him in the league because he doesn't put as much graft in as Brady or Quinn. Bruce is as good at handling flair players as Pardew was
