I think he's been on the weights.  He's got just a little more strength which means he isn't breezed off the ball in tight areas like he used to be.  His development in the second half of this season has been miraculous really.  As people have pointed out, probably owes a great deal to the work Almiron is doing in the team.

Painfully thick fans once again being exposed for being the dangerous fucking short termist, at best, morons they are. It’s absolutely marvellous.

In fairness earlier in the season he was very poor, constantly getting bullied by every defender in the league and looked sluggish on the ball. While some of the criticism was over the top and the booing was unacceptable, it wasn't all completely unjustified. He's improved massively of late in almost every aspect of his game, both technically and physically, and it's clear the criticism has given him a kick up the arse and done him good.

Almiron has opened the pitch up for him a lot as well, not to mention he's got Rondon with him instead of Jossa. I don't think he's suddenly become a better player, just think the players around him are allowing him to flourish and do what he does best.

I’d say Almiron enabling him more time and space responsible than the slackjawed criticism from the crowd myself. 99% so.

Our best player under Ashley, one of our best ever signings and my player of the season. This is what a player like Perez can give us when he’s freed up and playing off better players, playing in space more, further up the pitch more, more options all around him to give and receive more and less defensive responsibility.

The upside to all of that of course is we can get much more money for him as a result so have a think about that Mike!

We could get 4 Joselus for a start! It’s not rocket science, it’s simple economics.

This.

Criticised him before, but it was justified. Been superb since the turn of the year, though.

You don't think playing the first 10 games of the season with Joselu had something to do with him struggling?
