WOAT I think. Seems as if we've bid and have been linked with him a fair bit. Need his own thread for when he doesn't come here.

He's alright, it's a bit of an overstatement to say he kept Hamburg up though. He's a handful, decent in the air and not a bad footballer but he's not a natural goal scorer. He'll miss three before he puts one away. Having said that he's young and that area of his game could improve.

Not sure what indirect set piece threat means like. Only a threat from indirect freekicks?

Floated set penis alert.

Cheers for the info guys

Does he have any pace at all?

Probably means he's alert in the box when the ball gets knockdown from a free kick. Obviously that won't matter when our lofted set penis to Willo bounces of his lettuce head for a goal kick.

Kept Hamburg up last season, looked decent whenever I seen him.

Not sure I'd be happy with him as first choice though.

What are his strengths /weaknesses Ryan?

I've never see  him play

Their tactics at the end of last season seemed to be hitting the ball up to him hoping he would get on the end of it. Every cross that was put in the box would be aimed at him.

His header against Furth in the play off at the end of last season was excellent, he's a bit of a beast in the air. Not quite sure who in our team would provide the service for him.

Means he's not a free kick specialist who can curl them in but that he's a "fret" in the box with his heading ability etc.

Hope we'll get him. Would be a great addition

You've seen him play? How's he like?

He basically kept Hamburg up and was their talisman during the relegation battle.

Van der Vaart was basically what was Owen for us during the season - a captain not taking responsibiliy nor doing his talking on the pitch - Lasogga did it.

He's a really good striker, good in the box and I believe he would be a great player for us (for half a season or so anyway  )
