Guest thenorthumbrian
Or is the fact that we are owned by "person" like Ashley means we are always going to be associated with companies like W**** because any businesses with an ounce of class wouldn't want to be associated with us ? http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/wonga-ordered-to-pay-26m-compensation-after-using-fake-law-firms-to-chase-debts-9561678.html
Klaus
We all new Wonga was a dodgy company when they were first announced as a sponsor. Was only a matter of time before they were found guilty of something, how they so far got away with their interest rates and irresponsible lending is crazy. Also, they were never fit to sponsor us in the first place. Dont think this will make any difference to them being our sponsor now either.

Disco
Why have a sponsor that is acceptable when you can have one that everyone hates including, most importantly, the fans but will be in the news a lot? Guess who wins again.
BottledDog
Rate 'em the same as any other financial institution, bar the shambles of a name. Practically all of them seem to be happy to dip into illegality to get one over on us, so not bothered on that score as long as they pony up. Would happily get shot of them, but there doesn't seem that many decent sponsors around at the moment. Other than airlines, it's a toss up between oil companies, lenders, hedge funds and a fuck load of gambling firms. Oh, and Sports Direct obviously. Varadi
Despicable company in acting despicably shocker. Not a chance Ashley will ditch them.
Stifler
I don't think you will find many people who were for them in anyway. Whatever they do it will not chance Ashley's mind on them unless he gets a better offer from elsewhere.

Big Geordie
Ashley won't wash his hands of them. They are morally bankrupt company that happens to sponsor a football team in one of the cities (and areas) of the UK which suffers high unemployment and poverty. I still believe Ashley got this lot in as another way of taking the piss out of us lot.
Guest TruToon94
In this day and age of NUFC we couldn't really have sponsors more suited to be honest. Another notch on the death of the soul of NUFC.

Nah, think you made a spelling mistake earlier, though they may well be all a good fit for Ashley... We can all agree Wonga is shite, but bar airlines, reckon we can also agree there's a dearth of decent, whiter than white club sponsors around at the moment. Guest Howaythetoon
Any company or organisation that is in the finance or money sector be it insurance, banking, gambling or lending is shady as fuck. They are all as bad as each other. Wonga, however, are operating at a whole new level of shadyness. In many ways they are the ideal sponsor for Mike Ashley's Newcastle sadly. Guest firetotheworks
When they first came in I didn't see the new problem compared to Northern Rock, who I worked for and know how shit they were when they weren't regulated. Making up law firms to scare customers though? Aye, they can fuck off. Horrific cunts.
