What happens to the naming rights of SJP then? (sorry if this has already been asked)

 

Hopefully it'll just be quietly forgotten about.

probably, think it was Llambias who was more behind that idea

Sure I read somewhere that the Premier League are moving to a centralized advertising deal for grounds a bit like the Champions League and Europa League do. If that's the case there's only going to one name on the front of the tops next year. If he can't advertise his tat emporium we are nothing to him....

The big clubs in the premier league will never allow that unless the deal is worth more than their current deals which is highly unlikely

The Chronicle understands the club will not opt to change the stadium’s name again when the Wonga deal ends.

 

Come June 2017, the ground will still be known as St James’ Park.

Nah I just think that after 8 years of doing things their way they have finally realised that they are muppets.
