Being picked ahead of Diame/Perez last season = he went away on loan and didn't impact our team whatsoever so not sure what you're trying to say there. Being picked ahead of those guys this season = he prob was in line to getting to Ajax and Rafa didn't need him and sees opportunity to shift someone and clear wages so he can make some signings here. Would have liked to offload a keeper too, to see if Rafa could bring one of his own in (Reina still possible?). However, with one out on loan and 4 still here, I can understand why we cant really justify bringing another in until we can get shot of Krul and/or Darlow.
