Heron
Wijnaldum? Somehow won Sky MOTM. I kna. Couldn't believe it. Despite being an inbred I thought Kirchoff was probably MotM
The College Dropout
Ate Sunderland controlled the game for an hour and he was one of the main reasons.
AyeDubbleYoo
Kirchoff was MOTM by a mile. I'm fairly confident we would've won if he hadn't been playing.
Exiled in Texas
I wish he had been in Debut form not MOTM form for this game
triggs
Borini was pretty good too, mainly down to Colback's incompetence
Minhosa
Kirchoff was MOTM by a mile. I'm fairly confident we would've won if he hadn't been playing. Agree - head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch (particularly first half).
themanupstairs
IMO de Jong has to be on the pitch at the same time as Perez and Wijnaldum. They are the most technical players we have and if Rafa can get a system built around them we could spend the majority of games camped in the opposition half. Pity we don't have a prolific striker. The College Dropout
For some reason they stopped targeting Colback in the second half. Also stopped attackkng too.
sbnufc
Hope he starts games now. We've tried almost everything else and nothing's worked. Also he was at the Ajax game today (3:12)

Hughesy
Thought he played reasonably well when he came on. He's actually got a footballing brain and can move the ball quickly. Would be tempted to put him in a midfield three.

Ronaldo
He just mustn't have the wind to start football matches since his lung problem. That's all I can think because he's undeniably a good footballer.

nufc4eva
Only player with any intelligence yesterday, worked back, tidy in possession and good passing. Has to start if his lung can take it, even if subbed at 60 min. Wijnaldum should be benched
Flip
Think this is the only guy that can save us from relegation now. We need to start him for the remaining games and hope he can turn it around. He's so tidy in possession and while he's so slow, he gets the team ticking. I'd start him with Shelvey and Wijnaldum in mdifield, and hope they both start performing as well. Townsend and Perez wide with Mitro up top.

The last guy who could affect a game like that has just scored a hatful for nice. De Jongs alright but he's not that guy.
Ketsbaia
If there is one player to save us, it certainly isn't Papercut De Jong.
Hughesy
I don't think De Jong's individual talent is the important thing - it's the fact he has a brain and actually makes us play coherent football. He links up play quite well with quick one touch passes and actually makes the players around him look and play better. Personally, I'd get him in a midfield three and get him to run things, not the braindead Shelvey.
Figures 1-0 Football
Should be playing, you could make an argument any of our midfield should be dropped to accommodate him (bar possibly Townsend). Him sitting bang in the middle of the pitch dictating the game and leading the team would be much more constructive in this fight than watching Gini run around in circles without going near the ball. Hughesy
I expect a lot of people will disagree but I reckon I'd go for a midfield three of de Jong, Tiote and Sissoko/Wijnaldum. For all Tiote's faults, he has a bit of energy and has some presence. De Jong can keep things ticking over and generally run the midfield and hopefully that releases Sissoko to hit on the break or Wijnaldum to get into the box. Darth Crooks
He definitely should be getting his chance. He's not the type of player to run your midfield though.
