Newintoon
thought played ok, Gouffran works hard but u know nothing will happen when he has the ball. Pardew has now lost 8 of the last 9 in premier league
buzza
Sissoko was crap, for the sixe of the bloke he is weak as muck on the ball ...phhh! Liked colback, remy, aarons, riviere. Thought defence loojed shaky all way through, dummet is frickin secon division at best for fricks sake... Riviere did whjat he could byut Krul's preference to thinp it long di us no good. Painful to watch to be honest. Masn city strolled it. Apathetic about how anyone on this whole friggin board can back the wide boy fraud that manages our team. Fell sick. Rant over! Mick
I thought that we played quite well, it will be interesting to see how we perform when the players have to rely on Pardew for motivation.

Stottie
Looked pretty good. Set pieces were way better than normal. Colback was great. Dummett, Perez both came very close and Sissoko should have scored. Riviere needs more support and to be more patient.
cp40
all too predictable. gallant effort, but City won by 2. Bottom of the league and Ashley laughing his tits off in the crowd. Great.
maze
This side lacks Loic Remy, and some decent fucking CBs. Other than that it was a good display. Miss HBA
taxfree
Fair enough, we looked good and probably did deserve something from the game, but people (not on here) are going on like we've won a cup. It's the opening game of the season. We lost 2-0. Just incredible.
sempuki
Villa will be the acid test. Should be beating a team like that but with this clown in charge we are liable to lose. Then the pressure will start tobuild.

Away Toon
Well there are some fairly certain but early conclusions that can be drawn. Colback is the least of our problems. We need to play three in central midfield. Defensively we are still crap and need to buy a minimum of three defenders who would start to change that. If you have no shots on target you will never score. There are no where near enough goals in the squad.
Andymc1
All the new lads seem to have potential, but has any player improved under Pardew at NUFC? That's my biggest worry.
pedro111
Would love to see Cabella and Ben Arfa in the same side.
Guest neesy111
We actually looked threatening on set-pieces.
sempuki
A decent CB, reintegrate HBA and sign someone like Remy and I would actually be quite optimistic. However none of these are likely to happen meaning the King's 48 point target might not be too far off what we get.

Pilko
Krul - 7 - learn to kick please Janmaat - 6.5 - mixed bag, but looks like a player Williamson - 7 - okay Coloccini - 6.5 - very good, but poor on the first goal Dummett - 6 - bang average as per Anita - 6 - disappointing in the main Colback - 7 - impressive, industrious, economical with the ball Gouffran - 6.5 - best game in ages but so painfully average on the ball Sissoko - 5 - frustrating, erratic Cabella - 7.5 - pick of the bunch. Will be a great signing Riviere - 6 - flashes of inspiration, good work rate Obertan - 6 - okay Aarons - 5.5 - few glimpses but ball retention poor Ayoze - 6.5 - nice cameo and unlucky not to score Let's not get carried away, was a decent performance but we didn't bother attacking til the final 15 minutes and we barely threatened the goal bar Perez's shot. All in all, hard to be massively pissed off at this result, a few positives, but nothing to get excited about as per.
Guest Dontooner
At least we were not hoofing it. We need a Remy Ba sort of striker or we would struggle all season to score goals. The new players Jack and Cabella has helped alot with ball possession, no fear to pass forward and dribble the ball when its tight. Riviere looks very capable to play on his own which is crucial for Pardew style of play. Doesnt look like a goal scorer though.

Big Geordie
Another gallant defeat to Man City - the habit continues. Thought we played well, but the extra class told in the end. We desperately need another experienced striker in, as Riv still looks very green (though he looks powerful and has a good touch) He lacked support though, which was down to Pardew's 3 man midfield. Season has to start next week - having a good go at Man City is all very well and good, but it needs to be the same against the rest. I'm not convinced that will happen under this manager. #pardewout.
Cronky
The most pleasing thing for me was the genuine commitment to keeping the ball on the deck. there was far less aimless hoofing.
