Darth Crooks
Starting to think relegation won't bother Ashley. If we plummet he just hops to rangers and it's guess who wins again. Another season in a lower league with the parachute money to make back as much of the 'loan.' he'll lose out but if pardew doesn't go by tomorrow he either doesn't realise or care. Dave
Nothing will happen until at least the next international break IMO. If we're in the relegation zone then, Ashley might act.
Vinny Green Balls
Yeah this is deadly serous now, we are in big trouble if this parasite stays http://www.feoamante.com/Movies/T/TheThing/TheThing82_02.jpg

Aye - he can pocket two years worth of TV money to pay off his 'loan', stick us up for sale or leave us in limbo as he concentrates on Rangers. sempuki
Steve Kean put up with dog's abuse for some time at Blackburn but I don't think Pardew has the stomach for it. He needs to be hounded out and if it gets vicious so be it. If the owner had the balls to do the right thing this wouldn't be necessary. But as it seems he won't do anything we might have to. ScottishMagpie
More papers banned than points on the board. Brilliant! The nails are getting hammered in. edit: i know the king didnt do the banning but can only help the coverage.
Dokko
Ashley will soon get sick of paying extra police protection every home game. Someone will go for him again, no doubt about it.
Gallowgate Toon
If he's not gone by game 6 then we're screwed, like. Players' confidence is so far gone, he's not going to get it back. Bring on Hull.
Ketsbaia
Ahhh man, why all this pessimism? I liked it when we all thought it was hours away, or the Hull game at the very latest.
Guest TruToon94
Honestly I do think that the two game to turn it around was true and Ashley is going to stick to that. This guy will be gone if we don't beat Hull I believe.

Mick
The noises coming out of the club are to try and keep a lid on a fans revolt, they are basically saying don't do anything because it will make no difference. In reality it will make a difference and they know it, even if they will not admit it. We'll make his position untenable then it's only a matter of how he goes and when he goes, we have to keep the pressure on.

This guy will be gone if we don't beat Hull I believe. Fucking hope so, as this nightmare isn't very amusing anymore. Can see things turning real nasty if Ashley sticks with him. I mean is it really down to just paying him his severance money? Or is it that Pardew has something over Ashley in some way?
Guest zicomartin
Hmmm, so Steve Bruce has to take 3 points off us, only to take over NUFC for the next game. You just know it will be the 3 points that relegate us, right? Only @ Newcastle
sixx
I'm still sort of optimistic. Ashley is running a business and Pardew is seriously deteriorating its value and hurting its image. He must see pretty soon that it's in his best interest to find a replacement, it could very possibly elevate the worth of NUFC in a reasonably short period of time. With that being said, no one should show up at SJP next weekend. The crowd is really turning against Pardew en masse, for the seemingly first time, and boycotting home matches surely must send a strong message. Pardew isn't a manager who leaves his post. He's been fired from all his clubs (bar Reading) and he will hopefully sooner rather than later also be fired from here.
Ste
Mate or not, Ashley will get rid of Pardew if it looks like we will be in a serious relegation battle. My thought is he'll go after we lose to Hull. Our fixtures in December are where the season gets really tough, and we're struggling during what was a relatively good start to have in the league. Chris_R
Utterly bemused that we've not sacked him already. I'm not bothered if Ashley lets us get relegated tbh. It's not my money, fuck him. That said, Pardew needs to be given dogs abuse from now until he leaves / is fired / dies of old age.

An advertising hoarding is not a business. Anything that gets headlines is good for Ashley. Unless it damages Sport Direct directly.

Guest zicomartin
Might be selfish, but for us on the other side of the pond, its either every premier league game on tv or jack shit in the championship. Tough choice. The press will say we deserved it, all the fans fault for being demanding.

The money that has gone out of the club directly and indirectly, and Ashley's estate's exponential growth since taking us over far outweighs by an order of magnitude any pennies a relegation might 'cost' him. Darth Crooks
There's a definite exit strategy. Trouble is there's no amicably minded plan and it's one that doesn't see us in ruin as a problem.
ScottishMagpie
IF he doesn't go on saturday then the next home game should have not a single nufc fan in SJP. Empty stands beside SD adverts wont do his brand image any good. I have severe doubts about some of our so called 'fans' though. Sure some just pitch up every 2nd week out of habit in the same way they do the shopping every weds night.
paddydog
I think it's getting to the point where the anti Pardew stuff will begin to have an effect on the brand value and by association, a negative effect the sports direct associations. That will be the difference to Ashley. It's the thing he really cares about. While we are not worth much in advertising or shirt sales terms to his business in financial terms, it calls his judgement into question and his shareholders might begin to think twice. That's the only thing I think would make a difference. Unfortunately. And I'm probably wrong because he is nothing if not contrary.
Dokko
If he's not gone by this time next week I'm rooting for every team that plays us right until we go down and down and down again just to see Ashley lose out on the only thing that matters, money. I'll see the club burn to the ground and cease to exist just to be comforted in the knowledge he failed, he lost and Pardew fucked him over. AFC Newcastle, I'm for it.
