U2
I'm surprised to hear that Alan didn't think about a career in management during his playing days considering the fact that he managed a Sunday league side during said playing days. I will not miss his press conferences. Every response, bookmarked by persistent forced "erring", is so obviously too thought through and perceived (in his head, at least) to be the "best" answer. And yet, it is so transparent and all too obviously false. I'm sure many a fool will give him praise for "constantly saying the right things." Mick
Didn't the c*** say in the summer when Palace were after him that he had higher ambitions than Palace or something like that? He did.
Dokko
Reckons he took every club forward including us bar Charlton.
Skeletor
Reckons he took every club forward including us bar Charlton. Took over a midtable side. Left a much better squad midtable
Mick
Watched his interview. "We aren't going to switch to a more expansive style of football" No s*** Alan Aye, that was the least surprising part of the interview.
Dokko
Liked the part where he was calling palace 'we' but when mentioning their losses this season calling palace 'you' Anyway that's the first and last time I'll sit through a Pardew interview this year and no doubt forever. Feels good man, feels good.
Skeletor
I love when the interviewer hands him the shirt and Pardew looks at it like 'What is this ugly shit...oh wait yes great to see this again'
TheGuv
Watched his interview. "We aren't going to switch to a more expansive style of football" No s*** Alan Aye, that was the least surprising part of the interview. It was the most surprising for me like. I was expecting him to spout all his s*** about front foot football
Geordie Deb
My god could he sound any less enthusiastic. He knows this is not the move he planned next and it's plain to see in his interview. In his deluded mind he no doubt expected to leave Newcastle for a top 4 club or the England job but instead has ended up at Palace. Can't wait to see how this all unfolds . Mick
It was the most surprising for me like. I was expecting him to spout all his s*** about front foot football Na, he's lowering expectations already.
Skeletor
That Palace forum man. Can't wait to read it once they've been Pardew'd.
juniatmoko
he suited for bottom league team & mid table at most, don't think palace will get relegated.

Wullie
Don't waste your energy getting your hopes up. And this is where Wullie tried to kill everyone's hope. Still can't quite believe it. I'd completely given up hope of seeing NUFC without him for years to come.

Mick
Still can't quite believe it. I'd completely given up hope of seeing NUFC without him for years to come. I'd virtually given up on him going but always hoped that something would change, I didn't expect a club to actually pay to take him off our hands. Geordie Ahmed
Delighted with this but the club's propagandist statement does not bode well for the future. Couldn't stand hating him for any longer so he had to go but their statement strongly points towards Pardew mk2 being appointed next. Again it makes no sense to me as getting a decent coach would be beneficial to all and let Carr's picks be flipped for better margins. The problem with getting a good coach is that he might do too good a job, have us in Europe and then we can't do the "he wanted CL football" "sovereign states" as we sell another player mid-season Much better for us to hover around mid-table and just rake in the TV money
Dave
Alternatively Ashley might have a taste for making a profit on managers now. If the next guy does better, sell him for more.

Pons Alias
There is hope now. No guarantees of success, or great football, or trophies. But there is hope, one again. http://media3.giphy.com/media/rJY9OQDSDXBEA/200.gif
loki679
Suits Pardle down to the ground because there's absolutely no expectations at all. If he keeps them up he's a genius manager and if they go down it's Warnock / the poor squad's fault. Even if he keeps them up they won't be looking for any more than 17th place each season, it's perfect for him. The only way he can fuck things up is by getting relegated and then doing shit in the championship which even he would struggle to do given the financial advantage Palace have over most championship clubs. Guest Rent-A-Quote
Still feel like I'm dreaming. I'll forever remember where I was when I heard he was going. It's really one of those moments. That palace forum is horrific. Give it a year and a half though and it'll be magic. His pattern is take over half way through, steer to safety. Then in his first full year over perform, then it's all downhill from there baby. Ashley is of course the problem, so I don't really care who we get in next, we've had Kinnear and Pardew man. Obviously if it's somehow someone worse than those (Roy Keane?) then may I feel different but there is no way I'll regret him going. Even if we go down. The ONLY thing I'm going to miss about Pardew is checking in on this thread and not seeing the regular, "This cunt been binned yet?"
joeyt
Only read a bit of the Jack Flash post from last night, but I've noticed recently the PA guy has started getting very involved by shouting 'toon toon' before the match and screaming down the mic. So cringeworthy its unbelievable. Pards must have been in on that, because its only started relatively recently
Superior Acuña
I can't argue about this guy one more time. No funding, unrealistic expectations etc. ahhhhhhnhhnnnnnn going mad. I refuse to engage ever again, Alan Pardew is now irrelevant to Newcastle.
