Dele Alli joins Spurs on 5.5 year deal

Recommended Posts

Couldn't give a flying fuck about this deal to be honest.

£5 million that should be spent bringing in a centre back to improve the current team and instead we're wasting it on some 18 year old whose not going to see first team football here for at least two years.

Few expected Ayoze to make an immediate impact either. Just saying.

So we are prepared to pay more for a young midfielder from MK Dons then we are to get rid of our back room staff and bring in a decent manager with his own coaches?

How many managers get sold for big profit?

I know about the profit and all that... But to be honest we let Bigi, Abeid and a bunch of other youngsters rot away when they had the potential to be sold for a lot more later on. If Alli has any sense he'll reject the contract. Literally any other club not in the top 4 would be better for him in terms of playing time and coaching.

Not being funny but 5m isn't getting any decent, proven CB. Which is why above all else the Yanga-Mbiwa deal was so pathetic.

Honestly, a stop gap would do. Just anything to ensure Williamson never plays again. A player with a bit of height and strength to complement Dummett and/or Coloccini. Colo's replacement can come in the summer.

 The situation is desperate. Anyone average would do as it's better then what we have now.

Quite ridiculous that we've never bought a big centre back for years now despite it being a glaring weakness at the back. Ordinarily I would say there is no chance of getting relegated as we have the likes of Cisse and Ayoze to get goals even if we don't play well, but we are going to keep conceding daft goals like against Southampton for the sole reason we don't have a dominating CB.

If we can get a young CB who looks like he'll double in value then we'll buy a CB. Needing one means the square root of fuck all to Mike Ashley.

Which is why I echo what someone was saying earlier, how can you get excited about a prospect coming in when you know it's purely for the improvement of Ashley's wealth.

Newcastle sources are telling us that they are yet to make a bid for MK Dons starlet Dele Alli.

I know he's been as accurate as a Tiote 20 yarder since going to Goal mind..

All the talk has come from MK Dons.  Their manager mentioned our interest the other day but said we hadn't spoken to them.  It sounds as if they are trying to get a bidding war going on as other clubs are supposed to be "monitoring" the situation as well.
