Grabbed one of these, cos why not. Absolutely tissue thin (although the same can be said for the genuine Tonali modelled multicouled light jacket I got form the club shop) but a nice light jacket.

 

 

 

 

EDIT: And only by looking at that picture have I noticed it doesn't line up either side of the zip  Oh well

Waited 4 weeks for the winners shirt to be sent out and it's finally coming today. Problem is we are setting off on holiday so are going to miss the delivery. My daughter wanted it to wear on holiday so is gutted. Bloody typical!

Its a fake I think, the embroidery is nothing like either of the player versions i've owned

Umbro replica shirts did used to differ from the player shirts in the 70s and 80s tho.

Description does say it’s a replica. I doubt very much you could buy a fan version at the time.

Replica used to mean ok though, was always in the Umbro labels. Looking at his other items I think that’s a legit shirt from the time.

I remember getting a Newcastle top from Stan Seymour’s a year or two after ‘76 when Bukta made the shirts. We had to buy a “plain” Newcastle shirt and then buy the badge and Bukta trims for the sleeves and stitch them on at home.

 

I’d be seriously impressed if that shirt, in that condition, is a contemporary fan available shirt. If it is the price is way out.

I agree I'm not sure they would counterfeit this particular shirt either.

The material looks convincing and the label looks vintage as well.

I agree the badge is done slightly differently to the player version.

I guess we'll have a better idea when the auction ends.

If it's legit then I'd expect CFS to be all over it and to see it on the site for double what they paid in a month's time
