Am I missing something, and I have no particular interest in this subject (well, a passing one, I guess) but how come 'footy headlines' are getting treated as having some sort of legitimacy on anything?

Aren't they one of these 'two teenagers in dad's spare bedroom' operations?

No. They usually get most things regarding football shirts bang on.

Just using us as an example, they first broke the news about us switching from Puma to Castore, and from Castore to Adidas.

They're not, no. Regularly correct.

Yeah they have certainly cornered the ITK market on kit news

It’s not even manufacturer, team, or even league specific either.

They get things right from kit and sponsorship deals, to colour themes, and designs.

They also aggregate official news as well.

We’ve never had an Adidas kit with a trefoil on it so who gives a fuck? I’m more interested in replacing my 8 year old bobble hat with something decent.

We've had it on a couple of very limited edition shirts but never a team shirt.

Adidas released a couple of 'Adidas Originals' designs including the trefoil, the t-shirt occasionally can be seen on ebay but there was also a very rare black and white stripes shirt released.

Ill dig out a photo of my home shirt later.

EDIT Found a photo of it i'd posted on here before

So Sports Direct have taken us to court because we won’t sell them any of our new kit

They wanted to order 51,000 shirts

Who are the 51,000 DAFT CUNTS who would buy an NUFC shirt at Sports Direct ?

Yeah, when revenue is even more important to the club now (and all clubs in general) with regard to FFP/PRS, etc, then why should we supply shirts so he can undercut the club shops and thus take away sales that we need more than ever?

But thin its already been mentioned, but could Adidas also be part of this argument, as they dont supply their better stuff to his shops?

It’s all in the court case report on the BBC linked above

Adidas & NUFC have signed an exclusive sales agreement with JD and the fat fuck has taken it to court

But of course it was all fine in the fat fuck’s world when Shite Direct had exclusivity on newly launched NUFC Castore shirts

He’s subhuman scum

And so is anyone who buys an NUFC shirt at Shite Direct

51,000 x £16.55 = £844,050

51,000 x £70 = £3,570,000

i can see why we don’t want to sell him 51k shirts at £16 vs £70 (bet it’s £75) through the club shop.

from a totally unbiased position, it’s a shame other retailers can’t stock our shirts. Although I suspect there isn’t such a thing as an independent sports shop anymore anyway.

but, from a biased point of view, we need the ffp cash and that’s a hell of a difference in money. Even if we weren’t making it a JD/club shop exclusive, we shouldn’t be selling to him anyway.

Mr Singla KC, representing Sports Direct said;

“If Newcastle fans were unable to buy their kits at Sports Direct then they wouldn't buy other goods there either and "may never come back", with people "losing faith in the credibility" of the store.

Oh no, how sad.. Anyway

Read that earlier and couldn't believe it.

In defence the club should just list all the decisions to happen under the big slug's watch that resulted in fans losing faith in the club's credibility.
