BlufPurdi
The more I read about Delaney, the worse he gets. Bigger hypocrite than Warner... Trying to act all fucking pious. Stupid prick.
Guest
I must be mental but I don't really see the problem with the Ireland thing. If Ireland sued Fifa the best they could have hoped for was monetary compensation. Fifa essentially gave them that money before they had chance to take it to court. This kind of thing happens in all walks of life all the time, especially in business. Think it's a non story. The rest of the allegations are a different matter however. Don't get what grounds Ireland would have for compensation even? Do England then ask for compensation for the Maradona handball, etc?
Miercoles
I imagine the case being that fifa pressured the referees to favor France because they saw the French as a bigger draw. I base that on absolutely zero knowledge of the case, of course. I remember the game though, boy that was a s*** call

Maradona would get a six figure payout for spraining his wrist as a result of the ball being pumped up too hard in this day and age.
NUFC_Chris
Just been watching Jack Warner surrounded by his heavies fighting off journalists in Trinidad. Quite amusing really. They know they're finished.
triggs
Actually I would say Jack Warner is pretty happy with how things are going

BlueStar
Every time I hear anything about this film it reminds me of when Monty Burns made his own vanity project film, A Burns For All Seasons

jdckelly
I mean look at this shit: £16m they spent on that, imagine the good that money could have done elsewhere at grassroots level in football but no FIFA administrators need a film to show how great they are. Second, Blatter genuinely believed (perhaps he still does) that he would win the Nobel Prize for Peace and this would have been greatly abetted by South Africa as opposed to Morocco. Third, South Africa was able to pay bigger bribes. Morocco paid Jack Warner $1m for his vote, but SA paid him $10m, so he voted for SA and kept both bribes. Teasy
Hard to tell who should have won really considering apparently Morocco were bribing people as well, they just got out bribed by South Africa
