It's a trick, a fairly obvious one as well. To everyone it'll be seen as 'The unknown beats the known as being shit.' But employing someone that you know is bad and employing someone that you don't know anything about are as bad as each other when you could and should be employing someone that's known as good. That's the basis we hire on, it hasn't changed since Keegan left. I'd be very surprised if Vieira is coming in on the cheap mind, he's probably on more than the rest of our staff put together at the moment. We know things about Vieira, though. He's achieved things with the City youth and he's basically single-handedly made Diembars a Senegalse powerhouse through the way they have been developing their youth. This as well as having been used to provide advice/schemes for various clubs, such as Tromsø, in regards to their youth development, which in turn has made Tromsø the go-to club in Norway with regards to talentful youth - as if by some bizarre coincidence. Also aided the Strømsgodset youth set-up a few years back as part of their feeder agreement with City, now they as well produce talentful youth after years of being shit at it. Got to start somewhere Exactly, Keegan had been playing golf on the Costa Del Sol for 8 years before managing us, at Least Vieira is still involved in the game and at a top club as well. It's a gamble, but why not? Keegan also came in as an ex-club legend when we were bottom of the 2nd division. Times have completely changed and that's before getting into the fact that the season hasn't started yet and we could make an informed and good appointment without doing so as an act of desperation to get us out of the mire. That's really the deciding factor of whether there is thought or a plan behind Viera. Again, I'm very sceptical of this and I don't know why you wouldn't be. The people who run our club are true scum, and should not be forgiven or allowed to stay. The attidue towards Ashley can't soften. The damage done to NUFC by him is nearly unrepairable and he should be hounded out as soon as possible- potential appointments like Viera should not distract fans from this. This attempted move will fit in perfectly with Ashley's hollow aspirations of winning a Champions League place. He knows what he's doing and people will lap it up.
