I agree they are much weaker and maybe I’m being pedantic, but you did say it’s the worst squad in probably 25 years - which implies it was worse then despite the fact many of those were playing then and they were world champions . I agree with your overall point though. Maybe not quite in Germany too though as they were poor in the 2000s. 
 

Regarding Klopp, why would people mind that he loves a moan? I’m sure some of our players aren’t popular with other fans too - none of us care. He’s a proven winner and we’ve got past the celebrating a nice bloke that ultimately doesn’t win thing now.

think our young'ns have a lot more football intelligence than previous generations and it wouldnt take too much to get them to buy in to any system.

pep wiuldnt be able to buy players to suit his system so he'd have to set up a system to suit the players.

I'd hate Newcastle to lose Howe but I'd argue that him going to England is, at this point, literally the only method of exit I could almost stomach - in the knowledge also that his replacement would be properly considered. Meanwhile I'd be absolutely mortified if England appointed Klopp. Honestly; could you fucking imagine it? Imagine if they won something.   Jurgen Klopp, hero of England. Christ on a trike. 🙃

Really, what’s so unfathomable with a manager who moans a bit? Once they’re ours we see them differently - like I said I’m sure some of our players aren’t popular with other teams but we don’t care. He’s a proven winner. After several years I’d that over nice guy Gareth who ultimately always falls short.

As wonderful as a big win would be, and as disappointing as it is when opportunities are squandered - I don't agonise for England to win tournaments. I'm generally content in seeing us competitive and represented by people who I like and can feel pride in. 

 

If the cost of success is Jurgen Klopp and the utter horseshit which accompanies that bloke, you can keep it.
