Their right full back looks like he knows exactly where to be and when he needs to be there

I got it (after looking up what he was called)

Honestly don’t mind us trying stuff - quite enjoying this. What it does do is kind of expose players who aren’t quick-thinking or who have a poor grasp of their role, which is I think why Trent and Pickford are looking a bit shit.

Technically not a shot on target. ;)

Think it does count as one if it passes the goalkeeper and is stopped on the line

Only just noticed that's our goalkeeper in goal for Greece. Should have started Pope. Bet its been a while since both keepers played for the same club in an international game.

Probably depends where you look really with statistics these days.

Always known it as the old goalkeeper save = shot on target.

You'd think it would be extremely rare anyway because one keeper would barely be playing for their club. Then again some nations don't have much else for backup and still play them anyway.

Happened in Wales v Denmark at Euro 20201, both Danny Ward and Kasper Schmeichel played for Leicester

Over-complicating stuff a bit.

it’s been interesting, at least. Good to see Greece are still as niggly and cynical as ever. Our defensive formation is absolutely terrible in transition and when they beat the press, and they are breaking effectively.

Nice to see something different be tried but that's about it. A bit shit really.

England looking as bad as we are at defending transitions
