Greece resulted ruled him out. If had won all the games in the group, as was expected, they would have went with him.

toon25 Posted Tuesday at 17:52 Share Posted Tuesday at 17:52 Will end in tears. Not because he's not a good manager - he absolutely is - but there are so many non-footballing reasons why this will bite the FA in the arse.

54 Posted Tuesday at 17:56 Share Posted Tuesday at 17:56 What's with all these top class managers going to International management all of a sudden? Pochettino, Nagelsmann and now Tuchel, all managers who are in their prime years, going to International jobs.

christ Posted Tuesday at 17:59 Share Posted Tuesday at 17:59 (edited) Doesn’t he get his players to do mental arithmetic during training? We’re never seeing Grealish in an England shirt ever again. Edited Tuesday at 17:59 by christ
jack j Posted Tuesday at 18:02 Share Posted Tuesday at 18:02 Couldn't give too fucks about England just over the moon they aren't getting Eddie There will be a few on here secretly gutted. Won't have the bollocks to come forward and say so though. They'll be waiting in the shadows though

Thats just a personal opinion, the point was more that he's still a manager thats in the middle of his career and was upwardly mobile, and that he's a manager a lot of clubs would have sought, the same with Nagelsmann and Tuchel. (As an example I could have seen all three of them at Man United to replace Ten Haag) Normally these sorts of jobs are given to managers like Carsley or Southgate who have "been in the system", or towards the end of their career like a Hodgson.
