It was coming.(x2)

England are an enjoyable watch here (as much as they can be against such a boring and limited opposition)

With England Im not convinced whether the 11 has the quality to win the WC, but Tuchel’s tactics are starting to settle and it looms good (some of his early games were a bit wacky tactically).

Same issues we talked about the other day. Would be nice to have better cover for Kane and the defence can be a bit fragile. That said, for all I go on about this line-up being such a good team we really do have some shit-hot players in the wings.

ITV produced a whole montage about Rashford, obviously assuming he’d start tonight and are now upset that he’s not so the narrative has to be how Gordon isn’t really doing enough to keep him out. Rashford will come on and flatter to deceive as per

Wright and Keane desperate for Gordon to get dropped for Rashford. Absolute cunts.

Pulled up someone for this on Reddit earlier. He posted “England‘s best team” but among arguable issues (Lewis-Skelly and TAA full-backs, Burn and Guehi CB, Rice holding, Bellendham and Palmer in CM) the single most obvious issue was that he had Rashford on the left.

I just don’t get what people don’t get? Gordon is so obviously the best option on the left and has been for at least a year. Rashford is useful because he’s powerful and fast with a good shot, but his pressing is poor, his decision-making and technique suspect and he doesn’t always seem to follow instructions. Gordon is fast, runs forever and purposefully both with and without the ball, has good touch and vision and tends not to make mistakes.

Hope Tuchel isn’t pressured into picking the commentators favourite.

It’s just pathetic now. There was some article in the Telegraph stirring some nonsense about Tuchel and Bellingham earlier. I resent being treated like I’m fucking stupid

Edit: Even though, tbf, I am an England fan.

They really having a pop at Gordon at HT? Should be looking at Saka who’s done fuck all.

He’s been fine. Their LB and LM have clearly been told to get very tight on him and have done a good job. It just means more space elsewhere, which we’ve ultimately exploited.
