Against lower levels opposition, control the game without ever really creating much or having a clear attacking mentality, and against better opposition fail to impose themselves on the game and usually lose. Slovakia need to beat Scotland today, and then we'd have to lose to Lithuania and Slovakia would have to beat Malta. And they'd have to win by over 5 goals between the two games. 54 Posted October 5, 2017 Share Posted October 5, 2017 Thing is, on paper a front 4 of Rashford, Kane and Lallana with Alli at CAM is pretty decent, we have pretty good full back options, its just we have no one who can play the ball in CM, the main area on the pitch. These are players doing it week in week out for teams trying to win the league, Shelvey's a player who does it inconsistently and who's playing for us because as you rightly say he's a bit nuts.
