The club explained that members of the senior team had paid a productive visit to Celtic Park to explore the merits of safe standing, but that it will await the outcome of current pilots and legislative discussions before further investigating viability.

Wonder which top flight club in England will be the first to dare try it. Can imagine there will be a shitstorm.

Are they allowed to do it at the moment in the PL?

In the usual dose of hand picked questions given the obvious or parliamentary answer, one thing stuck out for me.  This reply.

The club explained that it does not need, or intend, to sell key players in order to fund arrivals.  However it confirmed that any funds received during the summer would contribute to the overall transfer budget.

That doesn't say that any funds raised can be used on top of an agreed transfer budget.  To me it reeks of the Summer we just had in that our spend was well documented with the recoup hidden behind the propaganda.  Could well be another net profit ahead if we go up.

"The club outlined that it is in a long-term relationship with its kit manufacturer, PUMA. The club also confirmed that kits had been selected for next season, with an order to be placed shortly on kits for the following 2018/19 campaign, due to the required lead times."

This interests me because this suggests that it wasn't the Premier League stopping us from having full stripes on the back like we do this season but just Puma being difficult. Hopefully they've seen the positive reaction from this season and continue with this - with Wonga gone, shirt sales could be through the roof.

Not if the shirt they have gone for has no back stripes.

No it doesn't because that wouldn't have answered the question which was...

"Bryn Tennant (BT) asked if the club would need to sell players in the summer in order to bring others in."

....which it does answer.

Does say elsewhere that discussions on budget are ungoing which puts doubt to the idea that Rafa had specific assurances in his contract.
