geordiesteve710
No, but his attitude was diabolical. I think he has the attributes to succeed in English football, but he'll have to apply himself a lot more than he has recently. Yes the service is wank, but just shrugging his shoulders and sulking every time he makes a mistake/ a team-mate doesn't pass to him/ he doesn't get a decision from the ref doesn't do him or us any favours. BeloEmre
Bit shit, this kid. I've onlyt seen the highlights but for me it looks like he was involved in a lot today. Looked very good in the build up in a couple of attacks.
Ally
We'd be screaming Pardewed at this kid 18 months ago. Started well and now looks like the white Shola. What do we actually do in training? All this talk that McClaren is a poor manager but top class coach. Fuck off

Guest NobbyOhNobby
To be Pardewed, he'd need to have had a purple patch and then gotten worse. There has been no purple patch. At the moment he is Jon Dahl Tomasson - loads of potential, but sadly we have no time for potential. He will go somewhere else and be class
BrettNUFC
'Bit shit, this kid' 'attitude diabolical' 'the White shola' It's no wonder McClaren is saying our fans are being 'very harsh'. He's not wrong, like. Dreadful support for foreigners in our side unless you're a fan favourite like Perez.

Aye but with likes of Mitrovic/Thauvin, they are young lads coming from abroad having to adapt to the league very quickly and a new lifestyle in general. There's no support from the fans if they don't hit the ground running. They're young, they're going to make mistakes, they're going to do certain things wrong or say the wrong things in the media. Our fans would have them shipped off back where they came from if given the chance. Fans moan when players don't come over and acknowledge their 'support' at final whistle and walk straight down tunnel. Yet when they do come over, they just get yelled to fuck off and wanker signs shown at them. When I was down at West Brom, Thauvin was first of a handful who came over and clapped. The abuse he got was a disgrace for the lad, he'd been on the pitch for about 5 minutes.
thenige
He's brave when going in for challenges he has no chance of winning. Most of his service is crap but he's definitely missed some guilt edged chance over the last few weeks. Nowhere near as bad as some people are making out. Some players need time to adapt, especially younger players who haven't played in a league as competitive and physical as the PL. People are crying out for a striker but for me it's everywhere else that needs addressing first. Got to get a LB who is capable of passing the ball, the entire midfield needs replacing (except perhaps Gini who needs playing in a position he's suited to). People who want, make movement for and are capable of passing the ball in the centre are the biggest thing holding back the performance of the team currently. The lack of goals hurt of course, but if we were making good chances every week consistently, the odd guilt edged chance would be a side note, not the entire story. George Bailey
Still think he can be an asset to us, probably in the Chumpionship next season. He has shown more than a lot of the useless cunts we currently have infecting the team and squad.
TRon
I think he's a good prospect and probably going on to become a really good striker but he's not there yet. His all round game looks really good, unfortunately he's not giving us what we need most of all - goals. He doesn't look a natural finisher and in this team we can't accommodate a centre forward who doesn't score enough goals.
xLiaaamx
he cant be dropped though. without his hold up play we'll struggle to get the ball. Perez will have to either play wide or be dropped to accommodate a new striker

Having strolled around the pitch in a strop looking like he doesn't give a shit for 90 minutes, Alexander Mitrovic's attitude was spot on and well played son?? The rest of them at least seemed to be trying yesterday, he stuck out like a sore thumb. We need to see more of the player who came on against Spurs and turned the game around with fire in his belly. If he misses a few chances along the way, that's more than forgivable. I'd hope the "white shola" comment was tongue in cheek mind!!

Half the fans sort of half-heartedly applauded them off, the other half seemed to want to abuse anyone they could. As if its the players fault the state the club is in. And don't get me started on "we want our money back."

Mitrovic was only ranked 59th. Should have steered well clear.
BrettNUFC
From what I've seen, there's nothing there to suggest he doesn't want to be here or he doesn't give a shit. He puts his fair share of defensive work in but he isn't mobile enough to press centre backs very well. In regards to his body language and his shrugging, it's more through frustration of service. If he misses a chance, you can see he's hurt by it. If Costa isn't getting the pass or makes a mistake, you see him start stropping. Mitrovic is being judged here solely on goals rather than his overall performances, which is a bit of a shame. All the pressure shouldn't be focused on him being the 15-20 goal man, but fans for some reason have looked at his price tag and expect that. We've got a very talented young striker on our books who should be getting the utmost support and backing, yet our own fans are ridiculing him. It's wrong, very wrong.
