Tsunami
Keeper did nowt wrong. Loooking at the cut I'm assuming the keeper had blade studs and imo they should have been banned ages ago, they simply slice open skin and are extremely dangerous. You can get a nasty hole with normal studs but they rarely slice open a wound like blades do.

Hanshithispantz
How are plastic blades worse than metal studs?
Fugazi
Keeper's entitled to hoy himself towards the ball to try and save it, just an unfortunate collision.

Tsunami
How are plastic blades worse than metal studs? Studs tend to make a hole and have no edge, blades, if they penerate the skin tend to slice it open due to their shape. If the keeper was wearing studs then that's one hell of an impact. Sho Time
Yes, he's spreading his body towards the ball to make himself bigger in the hope that he'll save the ball, he's not flying in for a tackle. If you were giving out red cards to goalkeepers for that you'd probably need 3 'keepers on the bench just in case.

Parsley
Keeper's entitled to hoy himself towards the ball to try and save it, just an unfortunate collision. Of course he is, just as an outfielder is entitled to challenge for a 50-50. He shouldn't be exempt from sanction if he misses the ball and catches the man just because he's a keeper. Agree with this. Same when a keeper jumps with a knee chest height. Should be free to do it, but if he crashes into a striker taking him out which happens a fair bit, it should be dangerous play and a pen Imo.

Ryan
Back in training. Surely back for the Oxford game then. Good news that, got a canny few fixtures coming up in a short period of time so it'll be good to at least have him and Murphy competing for one position until Gayle is back.
