I would imagine it’s an almost identical contract with an increased relegation clause fee.  Lascelles probably gets another 20k a week for signing it in the meantime.

It's sad, because in a perfect world, or at least in a decent one under a reasonably ambitious owner this would be absolutely amazing news in so many ways.

Firmly believe this has come from the agent to make sure Lascelles is protected and can move on once we're relegated (this season or next, it's happening soon). Also could be spun by Ashley and Bishop to be a positive move but he's going no-one. They're quite happy to ensure a biggish fee when we drop to pay for the promotion push, the cycle is just continuing.
