I didn't read it that way at all. It's jokey but I think it's meant as the truth based on something he probably realises himself with being on T.V.

The replies to Lineker's tweets are f***ing embarrassing, half of them are off fully grown blokes as well.

McClaren is doing a horrible job, but he's just another faulty cog in a terribly dysfunctional system. Newcastle are bereft of direction from top to bottom. Unless that direction is just to advertise Sports Direct to the global Premier League audience.

No shame in coming back to punditry btw although I don't see him doing it (can see him going the footie politics route). Most pundits are failed managers anyway.
