They battered us for most of the match. Next home game and the players couldn't even lift themselves. Either McLaren can't get his message to the players or the players are deliberately not putting it in. Yup, relegation and promotion is something Ashley can easily do as he has deep enough pockets to spend his way out of the Championship each time. Incidentally, so do the crowd but nothing can seemingly stop them from going to the games: not recession, not Pardew, not Mike Ashley pissing on them, nothing. The next successful NUFC manager needs to take a Pochettino approach - spend a good season getting the team solid in defence. Get some pride back in the side about defending.
