Newcastle United vs Stoke City - Saturday 31/10/15 15:00 (no TV)

You been sniffing glue today, Kets?

Honestly, we've just lost 3-0 to the worst side in the league (again) and people want to take positives and spread optimism. I can't decide whether you're in complete denial or just completely fucking dumb.

We played well today, were in complete control even when down to 10 men, got fucked over by the ref, and only one goal could be considered our fault, there were positives today IMO.

Why do you keep posting this crap as if completely unaware of what just happened in the game to cause that result. Your reasoning is extending about as far as "yer but theyre rubbish tho". Its been explained enough man.

Of course there were. Again we failed to take advantage of possession against an incredibly poor side and defended like c***s. I can't wait for next week. Can't wait.

Defended poorly for one goal, which still needed to make it through legs. All teams have a hard time against sides who put everyone behind the ball, unless they have an Ozil like Arsenal needed to open up everton.

We were going to win until the huge handicap of 1-0 down with 10 men. In most cases that's game over.

Compared with the previous five, we played much better.

Since when was dominating one half of football and fluffing a few half chances enough to say we were definitely going to win the game? As half time approached, my overwhelming feeling was simply that we would pay for not scoring. They weren't going to just get battered for 90 minutes without creating a chance, it doesn't work like that, and recent history shows that they are usually clinical in this fixture.

I'm optimistic, we are playing well in spells in most games (it was always going to take a while to get rid of the Pardew stink no matter who the new manager was) and with McClaren forced to change Coco, I think its onwards and upwards from today.

It's going to be the same problem we will face all season. Stoke are a big side and we'll concede a goal from a cross. Our finishing will have to be better than it was today if we are going to win.

I think we were robbed today, but Stoke are so much better than Sunderland. It's hard to see us getting a great result against them. They lost to Watford yesterday, but opened them up with ease and were a bit unlucky to lose. Our defence won't be good enough to keep them out, so our finishing will have to be as good or better than it was against Norwich if we're to get anything.
