Tiotes Witch Doctor
Sort his head out properly and this lad could be sold for £30m in a years time Hes a great player in this league but come on man.

Guest chopey
I propose a thread title change to Sir Jonjo of Shelvey Worlds greatest player Jonjo Shelvey should be the new title ........................................just to infuriate any passing makems. hakka
Think he's a better player now than when he joined, even accounting for the fact we are in a division below. We need another player of his mould though for competition and creative depth.

jimmymag
He was so obviously the difference tonight. If he'd been wearing a blue shirt they would have won. Class!
Wallsendmag
Absolutely brilliant tonight. Ran the game and 3 assists.
Andy84
Sounds like he's never been away, gives an effortless performance. Keep him right for the rest of the season we'll win the league. He is that important to us
Ketsbaia
Sort his head out properly and this lad could be sold for £30m in a years time Hes a great player in this league but come on man. '£30m player' isn't quite the same compliment as 5 years ago tbf.
Pilko
Sheer class. The ball for the penalty was bloody exquisite.
Guest firetotheworks
Weird that for the second time a player we bought when going down ended up being our most important one once it happened. He's at the centre of everything good that we do going forward.

Dave
Despite playing without a recognised striker, Newcastle never lacked creativity thanks to Shelvey

Leazes_End_Mag
He's been outstanding this season but still have my concerns about him next year when he doesn't even have half the time he's allowed to pick a pass against the utter dross we're facing right now. Ginola
His pass to set up the penalty was mint. So good to have him back
Heron
Despite playing without a recognised striker, Newcastle never lacked creativity thanks to Shelvey I disagree with this. Gouffran is a recognised striker to me. Sentiment is right though.
Hanshithispantz
Gouffran is a recognised striker in the same sense that Steven Taylor is a recognised striker.
Heron
He was bought as a striker. If I recall rightly it was Pardew who shifted him out of his role. As I said he is limited but given he has never been given a decent stint as a striker for us and gives 200% all the time he deserves more slack than he gets for me. Heron
Tbh i reckon people decide they don't like someone and become unmoveable in that too. I cannot stand Colback but he was quite effective when he came on tonight in that he played more positive passes than Tiote.

Hanshithispantz
Think he was a striker for Bordeaux? Obviously took his goal well tonight too. I don't mind Goufran tbh, I doubt he's a Championship quality striker nowadays though.
HawK
Said it before, there's no English player better than him in the middle when he's bothered. Should be a regular starter for England now. He's the player that actually would make all our pace-for-brains forwards actually dangerous.
Altamullan
Real captain's performance last night. Would be tempted to let him keep the arm band. Different class of player (at the mo) IMO than Lascelles and I get the sense the faith in him, as well as reliance on him, would up his game a notch.
