TheInfiniteOdyssey
I’ll miss him honestly, felt like that injury came at the worst possible time for him. Wish him all the best, he’s has some shocking games in a Newcastle shirt, but he’s also had some absolutely class moments as well. Seemed like he really loved the NE area as well. Super Duper Branko Strupar
Sweeeet. Thanks Forest.
BoSelecta
No way he goes without bringing in a replacement, exciting.

He's also 30, had two injuries and 6 months way from his contract running out. I think it’s a good deal (replacement permitting). I just think people are being a bit churlish by saying he’s done. ponsaelius
Although he only has 6 months left it is basically 18 as we effectively have an option to extend it if we played him twice more. Considering that I would expect some kind of fee. It would be a good move for him too if he gets a 2.5+ year deal out of it considering he's only guaranteed another 18 months here. Bimpy474
Well we were looking to get a CM in before this, so we need two now don't we ? It's such fun at the moment, while unlikely it would be hilarious if we did sign two centre midfielders
The Prophet
Happy to see him leave providing we get cover.

We’ll get someone on loan or a direct replacement. You’d think Leicester might be open to selling Tielemans as could leave on a free in the summer. David Edgar
I notice we have respected their name with this thread title. Getting desperate.
nemtizz
I wanted him gone when Eddie came in, and on 30 different occasions before that, but he did redeem himself last season. Great chance to get him off the books though and hopefully he's replaced.
ponsaelius
Fwiw I wouldn't just expect cover to replace him. I'd be hoping we make a long term midfield signing - even if it's a loan-to-buy situation.
ExiledGeordie
Gordon’s arrival means Joelinton can focus his efforts centre midfield.
James
Love the bit about us actually sensibly ringing around before making a decision.

SUPERTOON
Got to love how ruthless we have been with wood and Shelvey this window

There is a PL after him as it turns out. Ah. When I said "at this level" I meant top 6, not PL.

That's why I'm surprised he's so willing to go to Forest. Guess they must be willing to match his wages
Holloway
His recent injury woes may have taken a bit more off his pace, we've got to be all over this if true
