Jonjo Shelvey (now playing for Burnley)

Recommended Posts

He's good if we tailor our entire system towards him, but he's not good enough to warrant that. The last few months of our first seasons back up were probably his best. His long passing ability matched with Gayle's movement really helped us bring Ayoze and the fullbacks into play.

Second half of the first season back he was good alongside Diame. We don’t need him.

He doesn't fit into the way our team plays, simple as that. Hayden and Longstaff suit us better. Ki suits us better. The sooner we get rid of Jonjo the better. Schar and Lejeune play the long direct balls just as effectively from where they play in the back 3.

How useless is this knacker's mentality?

Set-piece specialist captain my fucking arse

He's obviously got a weak mentality. He has a good strike on him when he's not under pressure, but wilts every time it counts. He's a loser basically, and one of the reasons why no decent club wants him. He can keep dreaming about England as well, don't think Southgate would touch him with a barge pole now.

After the game Shelvey said: "I want to apologise to the fans for missing the penalty. It was a shocking penalty on my behalf. I won't be taking them any more.

"I just wanted to come out and apologise to the fans.

"I thought we deserved more from the game and we worked our socks off against a very good Leicester side."

Shelvey stated he felt like the penalty miss had ruined the performance of his side.

He went on: "It was against a tough team but when I walked back from the shoot-out you want the ground to swallow you up.

"It ruined the performance we put in and it was horrible."

Great news, I'm going into work tomorrow and telling my boss that I won't be doing anymore stressful shity jobs but I still want the same money and conditions, I didn't realise that's how modern society worked, its a real load off thanks Jonjo.

‘“You pick things up and you read things and I just think they need to get off the gaffer's back. He's come in here and he's doing a good job. It's enjoyable to work with him. I got dropped the other day. You're disappointed but the day after, you're doing a session that just totally makes you forget.“

Jonjo’s moving up the list
