 I think taking over from Pulis was the only gig in world football where that would possibly be the case.

 Celebrating Pulis fucking off just for Pardew to walk through the door. Bet every church in West Brom has been empty ever since.

He'll get another Premier League job and the narrative will be that WBA was a blot on his CV.

As predictable as him going on huge losing streaks.

If I remember correctly, when Rafa came with 10 games to go in 2016, it was said that never had a manager change so late in the season saved a club in the PL.  Still think it would be a correct decision for West Brom just like it was for us in 2016.

It's a tough one for pundits as they:

- can't blame PFM Pards.

- can't blame PFM Tone.

- can blame vile Chinese owners who are ruining game. Unfortunately said owners spent £45m on predominately British players absolving them of blame.

The fact he’s regarded as a good manager by many in the media tells me the vast majority do not see any games and only highlights and that they also have ready made excuses to protect one of their own. Pardew is English, worked in the media and came from non league or lower leagues. He’s a fraud though and so are most of the pundits that say he’s a good manager, hard done by or will turn it around. I don’t think in any other country or league such awfulness would a) be tolerated and b) not brought to task. Honest.y I wouldn’t even wish him on the mackems. He is so bad, it’s actually scary that he keeps getting employed and is regarding as a good English manager. Ironically people like McClaren who have won far more and achieved far more are often lampooned or laughed at or considered a bit rubbish. He is a shit manager and was shit for us, but he pisses all over Pardew. Sums our game up and the management situation though.

He's just a popular man with the right friends and connections. There was a segment on him on sunday supplement and the first thing Shaun Custis said was something like "it's difficult, we were just talking about him and we all like him, but it just hasn't worked out for him".

As for Tim Sherwood, if Pardew was foreign he would be frothing at the amount of chances he's been given to fail over young British managers.

There was something similar a few years back about Steve Bruce and they essentially said he's a really nice guy at press conferences so they go easy on him. Yeah, nice one.
