Chelsea 5-1 Newcastle United - 13/2/16 post match discontent from pg. 36

Shearer noticed we were wank.

Although didn't attack McClaren at all for it which is really pathetic. Blamed lack of character and attitude of the players.

Pundits very rarely do. For some bizarre reason they 'don't like to see managers sacked', even if they're completely inept.

He's not wrong about the players of course.

Unless they're foreign.

They never attack UK managers, its always "he'll get it right. Needs more time". They are all golf buddies.

He has had over half the season and weve been awful for a lot of it.  Things aren't going to suddenly flip now.  This is it, this is what macca gives you as a manager.

Man against boys, their front players too quick and skilful for our very poor defence... Other than Man city we will not face a forward line as good as them today..

Crystal Palace put 5 in against us, we're shit away from home and could ship 5 goals at any time.

He's a fully fledged subscriber to the "it's aaall the players fault" school of football analysis that inexplicably keeps a small group of dogshit English managers and ex pros on the merry go round of employment within the game.

Danny Higginbothom said we play too expansive away from home, and we need to be more defensive

Most UK pundits haven't got a clue.  They'll just say something that sounds vaguely clever and since none of the plebs watching have a clue either they lap it up.

And that is exactly why they kept saying we were hard on Pardew. None of them watched us like we did and saw the awful football.

i lasted 17 minutes yesterday so god knows how bad it was, i cant remember the first 3 goals , too pissed

defeat was expected, these games arent gonna save us, its all tightened up, the sunlun result was the kick in the pips, i had them down as a draw at  best.

stick or twist with SM?  past caring, we'd still appoint the wrong man

When I saw the line up yesterday before the game I knew we would be knackered for pace. Pedro, Willian and Hazard with costa buzzing... recipe for disaster. Colo was abysmal, taylor always in two minds whether to cover coloccini or pick up his own runner, made the wrong decision every time.

Put a youngster in at left back, albeit the only one who could perhaps compete in the speed stakes (wrong!), and you get comeuppance.
