Crumpy Gunt
I liked Santon, but I don't really know why. He couldn't defend and he couldn't cross/shoot he had a decent season linking up with Gutierrez but was bang average.
Sima
Was just about to say that, don't know how Sima does it Don't worry, I'm coming close to ramming it. You try to educate some of them and there's just the same straw men thrown in your face with the same lifting patter.

You even have a West Ham fan on board now who thinks his club is suddenly a super club now because they have increased their capacity; even though just three year ago they had an average of just under 31,000 for a 35,000 capacity when they got promoted. You just cannot talk sense into such a venomous spiteful set of people which populate that forum.

What evers said, the mackem delusion shines on. Vitriolic jealousy has long been the default for most mackems, not just about NUFC but almost anything related to the city of Newcastle too. They really are wound up by this relegation thing and ironically seem more bitter than when we were quite successful

Scoot
They are still a Premiership side but who is getting all the attention? Its no wonder they are foaming. CJust like last time we went down. Still had higher attendances and were on TV more than them. this is why they are so bitter, they'll always be that other club from the North east or that club/place next to Newcastle. Wallsendmag
What really narks them is that despite our relegation they're still stuck there, a nothing club just festering away in our shadow. We still get more media attention, we'll still get bigger crowds, we've still got a far higher profile manager, still signing better quality players than them and their latest signing is only joining them so him and his lass can move back to Newcastle. The only time they've had any attention from the rest of the country is because they knowingly allowed a paedophile to play for them. That's literally their claim to fame. Is it any reason they're so bitter?
Sima
It goes beyond football, Sunderland as a city has zero identity and try to claim every little bit of attention they can. It's why they rush to declare every election, got to have that little bit of attention. Even if we were in the conference we'd still get more exposure than them. I posted over there that they don't seem to grasp the concept of one step back and two forward and it's true.

Basically it was the average attendances 15 years either side of each of our watershed moments (our promotion season vs their ground move), their uplift was 10% higher than ours. Billy2Sheds
At the end of the day, there is literally thousands of their fans that still support Adam Johnson - the man who loves to neck on with schoolgirls lol. You can't win with them. You could put the best argument forward to about anything, they'd agree, then two days later they'd start a topic spouting the same crap. I read a heck of a lot of football forums, and it's safe to say that their fans are the least knowledgeable. Pickford was worth £40m according to one of their fans the other day, not to mention the whole McClean, Modric saga

Tubestationatmidnight
What they don't get though is that we are happy as we finally have all at our club pulling in the same direction again and when that happens we are a force as shown by the past. We are better off having a season down and all singing off the same sheet than hacking away in the premiership with Ashleys shackles on us. End of the day they are making good signings and supposed to have a good manager an they are still scraping round 17th. We were ruined by years of Ashleys stupidity yet weren't much worse off than them. We have potential when ran right to be Europe and I don't see how they call that deluded seen as we have finished in the top 6 about a dozen times and the last time we went down I was in benfica 3 years later.
