They're even more stupid than I thought if they sack Moyes. Surely they won't? Where the f*** do they go next if they do?

Hodgson or Fatso, either would keep them up unfortunately. But they are going to need to be in place before January and have a stellar window, like Fatso did last year, because after the summer I wouldn't trust Moyes with my money if I were the owner, if he thought it was hard to convince players to come in the summer it'll be even harder in January if they haven't picked up their form a little.

Can't see Allardyce going back. He didn't leave on good terms and was apparently getting annoyed at their lack of transfer activity before England came calling.

Would they come straight back? They're skint as it is after 10 years of Premier League money, don't have the benefit of being able to sell three players for £70-75m to fund a squad rebuild. I think they'd sink for a while.

Kev Ball and Micky Gray dreeyem teeyem.

Can you imagine. Both of them together! The pair of them remind me of the spivs who used to sell towels & pans on the Quayside market in the '80s. Saw 'Bally' in Eldon Square, around that time... a missed Bishop Brennan moment I've often regretted.

think short is surely looking for buyers, they'd presumably get sold for a pittance with the agreement the debt was written off

So lets get this right.

Their strongest side except Defoe (who subsequently came on) was beaten by Southampton's second or third choice team; they have 2 points from 9 games; their fans are revolting and most are ready to hound out yet another manager after just a hand full of games; they're skint and the owner is looking increasingly disinterested; they've paid way over the odds for players on long contracts who have negligible resale value and they play Arsenal tomorrow!

I didn't quite understand what they meant when they were going on about us "winning" relegation but it's becoming a little clearer as time goes by.

Is there not a chance that Moyes will fall on his sword and walk, if things don't pick up?

Nah, he'll hang about for his bag of cash before leaving.  It'll probably come in a plastic bag as.

For the same reason something as insignificant as our deal with Wonga made the national news. Some clubs are newsworthy, others elicit nothing more than a shrug outside their immediate area.

The noncey groomboys fall heavily into the latter box, and given the fascism/racism/paedo stuff of the last few seasons, for that they should be eternally grateful.

F... me they can't let it go can they

Now they are a bigger club because they are above us.......so by that logic they are the smallest club in the Premiership

They're hilarious! Several on that thread alone desperate for Hull to beat us!

Yeah I just saw that and the mixed starting 11s that had hardly any of our players in, Januzaj better than Perez, Watmore better than Richie??? Shelvey? Nah Catts for me like!

In the 9 years since Ashley has been here (which coincided with them being back in the Premier League), we still have a higher average league position in them, which includes two relegation finishes and a season where we were 21st. They'd have to finish 5 places ahead of us this season to end the Ashley decade ahead of us league wise, which would then include us having 4 finishes below 18th.
