If they are going into a game they have to win at the end of the season to stay up we should make a public bid of £100K and see if they bite knowing he'll be gone for nowt if they lose.

Would be good for the fewm if owt else.

Relagated and losing Defoe on a free, it's going to sting. If it happens It'll be followed up by the realisation Pickford is only worth £10-15m and no one wants to pay for any of the others.

Massive job on for anyone mad enough to take it and why they really need to keep Moyes.

Gotta wonder if Defoe will score that 96th minute winner to keep them up if going down means he's effectively able to return to London and write his own pay cheque.

The terms he could negotiate on a free would certainly soften the blow of relegation for him

They must have been desperate to include such a clause. It's almost a financial incentive for him to be relegated  :idiot2:

Hasn't he got a really long deal at Sunderland for his age though?? Can't see West Ham offering more than a one year deal, especially now he's stopped scoring

Couldn't see him going anywhere on a one year deal, although being on a free and taking the signing on fee which would have been his transfer value may make it  possibility.

I'd be surprised if he isnt' already eyeing his escape this summer. One of their players who is out on loan in Turkey is already on record as saying it will be better for his chances of a permanent deal if Sunderland are relegated.

Their incredible form that kept them up last season, 27pts from 19 games, would only see them finish on 34pts this season. They'll need 4 wins minimum, not impossible but still only 34pts. A couple of weeks ago I'd have said that might do it, but it looks like it will need to be higher.

It's either them or Swansea really.

West Ham, Bournemouth, Swansea at home with Hull away. Reckon they'll win them and draw against Boro & Watford away. That would mean they could go as long as game 33 (15.4.17) for another win and still be in with a shout.  Win before then and they are easily back in it.

9/1 man, that's such good odds on these Fuckers.

Horrible cunts are like Boris the Blade out of Snatch. Impossible to kill. Fully expect them to do it again too. May just have a little bit on it, 9/1 given their previous for getting out of the shit is very good odds.

Overlooking the fact that their club abandoned all sense of moral jurisdiction in playing him last season to stay up. If they'd done the honourable thing they would be in the Championship this season.

Hahahah, priceless! You're talking about the club who... you know what, enter your own punchline here. Too much to choose from.

After Cheltenham, I emptied my Paddypower account of winnings and was left with the whopping sum of £16.20. Piled it on the mackems staying up, should pay for my next trip to the 'dam, or watch the f*ckers crash and burn. Win-win.
