They simply make up a number now, usually 27000 and something. They only had 17,000 v Bolton but added 9000 onto the crowd. They regularly take less than £50,000 on the gate for home games (after season ticket holders and away fans are factored in) which doesn't even cover Jack Rodwells wage.
