Magedia again FFS man. There seems to be a deliberate agenda against us in all the press. Pundits on the tele just glance at the table in the paper and look at the last result even the supposed ex players in local media who are supposed to be on our side couldn't name the starting 11 from a game the day before.

We are too soft as a club we get a raw deal from all aspects of the media because they know we are a soft touch that won't do anything. They were giving us pelters on talksport the other day as well

I thought everyone loved them and hated Mags though?

Wish they'd make their mind up.

Charge actual money in exchange for a ticket? Expecting a mackem to stump up their hard-earned dole? Not give away blocks of tickets to every Tom, Dick and Harry in a 10 mile radius?

Well, it's a bold move by the club, not sure it'll catch on.

There was an "in the know" sunderland fan on RTG last week stating they give away, on average, 9,000 tickets for every home match and a few others backed him up on this as well. They regularly get sub 15k crowds in the cups because they aren't permitted to give away free tickets as the gate receipts are shared with the opposition club.

Our place was given a massive wedge of tickets for their WBA fixture next week. The pile must have been at least 2 or 3 inches thick. We're having to give them away, you'd expect them to be used as prizes or incentives but we're literally handing them out and there's still a load left. This happens at least 4 or 5 times every year and it's always the same.

Im not sure people actually realise just how many free tickets and ridiculous cheap offers for multiple tickets that club actually do

In the past theyve even sent free tickets to schools in Newcastle.

Mackem support is nothing special

Creased at these, especially the Shearer thread.

Imagine reminiscing about a Man Utd defeat and a West Brom draw.  Irrelevant w*****s.

Seen it all now, this has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've read on there...

"All the mag players were hoping Shearer got smacked."

"I remember a talk in where that was admitted. Said they hated him and he hated the toon army (but loved how they thought he was a hero)."

Ha ha I was howling at that!

I'd actually say the majority of them are utter idiots and will say anything to try and put us down no matter how bull-shit it is!

They averaged 43k last season but in their last set of accounts their gate receipts were dwarfed by the likes of Southampton who averaged 13k less and Southampton aren't exactly one if the most expensive teams in that league to watch.

Typically for league games sunderland have around 33k paying supporters and even those who do pay get in dirt cheap  (£370 for adult season tickets behind the goals compared to £520 at Newcastle with the difference being even greater for seats along the side).

Take away the TV money and they'd hit administration almost immediately because that is their only decent revenue stream.

Didn't Shearer give Keane the v's too and then Keane hit him with a pie?

Aye from a canny distance too, hit him square in the face it did. Fantastic foresight from Keane, he bought it at half time, then just held onto it, didn't take a bite or owt. It went cold in his hands as he just held it, waiting...waiting...waiting......then 40 minutes later, POW!

Reading those hilarious reminicences of our wearside nostalgia fans, I've just 'burst out laughing' when they were condemned nationally for their support of a 'heil hitler'ing boss, with his 'Il Duce' tattoos (plural) and how politicians, unions and clergy all rounded on them and were ignored 'cos he 'beat teh mags'.

I've just burst out laughing about that time their star striker had to take to social media to condemn the fanbase for racially abusing his own mother.

I've just burst out laughing about that time they repeatedly chanted 'he shags who he wants', when 'who he wants' was a child.

Wasn't there a rumour about Shearer used to be bucking a lass from a Pizza Hut in Ponteland behind his wife's back, Gullit ended up shagging her too and they had a falling out over it? Something daft like that.

Such rabid fantasists.
