Add to that Rafa personally criticizing him in his presser after the game I think that one is a certain no-no.

That wouldn't stop Rafa signing him if he thought he was any good, but if he's not cheating, what does he actually bring to a team?

6 goals and 3 assists so far this season apparently

Scott Hogan interesting us according to the oracle from the Chronicle:

Another underwhelming signing if true. Rafa's certainly buys some s****.

Don't know much about him apart from he has a decent scoring record this season. Think his brother plays for the Heed.

Who has Rafa bought that has been shit exactly?

Also Hogan has 13 goals in 23 games for a Brentford side who are 14th, thats hardly a bad return.

Ignore him man, just look at his posts he hates Rafa. He said Rafa would be sacked by October

You need more than 11 players.

Sels the only shit signing in there.

We're in the Championship and he's bought squad players.

Hanley - Blackburn's captain and most important player

Murphy - Ipswich's best player

Gamez - Versatile Atletico Madrid defender who's only played 2 games (?)

Diame - Best player aside from Snodgrass from Hull who we were all actually happy with as Sissoko's replacement

Agree on Sels, there's 1.

All in all, a fantastic SQUAD for the Championship.

- Murphy - Barely featured, so can't really judge, but is much needed backup, something we've lacked in the striker department for years and someone who pushes Gayle and Mitro to perform.

- Hanley - Same as above

- Diame Was poor to begin with, but has now settled and looked pretty decent over the last few games.

- Gamez Injured a fair amount, but is someone who has played at the highest level, and gives experience to an fairly young squad.

- Sels Yeah, i'll give you that one

Not really sure we needed to sign Murphy, Hanley or Gamez tbh

If one of Lascelles/Clark is injured/suspended then Mbemba moves into the team. Which CB do we then have on the bench? What happens if Mbemba then gets injured too? Who plays? What about when Mbemba leaves for a month soon?

People moan that we have a lack of options at CM when Shelvey is out but then not grasp why we have options elsewhere

Murphy was a pretty shit signing. Yes, it's Gayle's form that is keeping the other strikers out of the team, but for 2/3 million I think we could've found a backup striker that could at least threaten to make a couple of sub appearances here and there, especially given Mitro clearly isn't fancied.

Sels isn't very good but he was never going to be first choice long term and we needed a keeper to start the season with. He may still improve or we'll probably still him, and it'll be no harm done imo, League Cup exit aside.

Lazaar, who knows? Maybe he'll surprise us. Thought he looked alright against Hull if nowt else.

The rest were all good signings and have served their purpose. So only one poor signing, imo, and when you consider the fact we had approximately 15 players to replace, you're off your tits to criticise the recruitment.

I think if we are looking for fourth choice centre halves/third choice strikers, we should have been buying young players/ giving our own a chance who might be alright in the PL in the future rather than buying experienced players on higher wages who will be useless anyway once we go up. Gamez was just a needless signing, you don't need 5 experienced full backs

Aye, for example great idea to play nobody up front if Gayle, Perez and Mitrovic are injured and/or suspended at the same time.

May as well have a 100 man squad then

Gamez was signed pre-empting Janmaat leaving, I don't think we knew Yedlin would be available to us.

Armstrong hasn't been amazing for Barnsley but it's better than him only playing a handful of games here over the last few months
