Tiresias
if they get promoted will be more, if not may be able to haggle down a bit, trust Rafa to know if worth it.
Dokko
I'd take Hart, but if not him Begovic would also be a huge upgrade on what we've got. Available for £10m apparently. Chelsea were also interested in Darlow (£8m) & Krul (loan) in the winter window to replace him should he go.
joeyt
I assume Chelsea would want to bring in a homegrown keeper for their squad registrations and put him on the bench
ponsaelius
I assume Chelsea would want to bring in a homegrown keeper for their squad registrations and put him on the bench Yep, why they signed Begovic in the first place.

Chelsea were also interested in Darlow (£8m) & Krul (loan) in the winter window to replace him should he go. Which one is available for £10m? I'd take Bergovic for that. Hart, no thanks. I think I'd rather keep Darlow.
George Bailey
If Begovic is available he would be a cracking shout. Personally I think Hart is still way better than Krul (for me he is as good as he is ever going to be) and Darlow (at this stage of his career) so on a loan deal or reasonable fee I would welcome him as well. Around 10m for a good premier league standard keeper is canny value imo. Sales of Mitrovic, Colback, Hanley, Sels and maybe even Krul would recoup that surely? without putting a dent in the rest of the 60-70m?
Stottie
Getting back to Josh King, but our last buy from Bournemouth has been a good un. He doubled his wages when he came, if the reports were correct. I've not watched the games but the analysis sites have King down as playing behind Afobe in a 4-2-3-1 about half the time this season.

Would have no issues with it really, think we need an upgrade regardless as our current crop are not up to much.

Bournemouth nearly had him for £10m in the last window, but Chelsea couldn't get a suitable replacement (they were looking at both our keepers) Begovic wants to leave, one prem start all season, 30, far too good for the support role. Reckon £5m + Krul would do it.

George Bailey
Both will have suitors in the Championship I would imagine.
Guest
Could see Hanley at someone like Hull if they go down to replace Maguire.
Guest neesy111
Should get our money back with Hanley, Murphy get a few million.
midds
Served their purpose. Absolutely. No axe to grind, they both played their albeit small parts this season. Wish both of them well but hopefully this means a CB and a CF are coming in fairly early in the window.
Tiresias
Both did well and wouldn't have minded either staying around as backups but also sensible freeing up wage bill as neither should be getting much game time. Murphy I thought did very well when called upon and would be a sensible buy for anyone in the championship
ponsaelius
Will remember both of them reasonably fondly. Both did well when called upon.
George Bailey
Was just looking at our players out on loan and in the U23 squad. God we seem to have had some of them for ages.
Guest neesy111
We seem to have to cover more positions with buying players as our academy isn't producing anywhere enough players to even be 2nd/3rd choice for a position.
Killuminati
Like many have mentioned, Begovic for 10m should be a no brainer. Experienced goalkeeper who has the best years infront of him. Im from Bosnia and watch every international game. I have never been dissapointed with his perfomances. Hes to good for the bench.
Tiresias
10m for Begovic would be a steal imo.

Some of the 'older' ones just seem not to have developed at all: Good, Vukic etc Can't believe we still have some of them on the books, assume we must be getting close to the end of some of their contracts. Guest reefatoon
When we were handing out 8 year contracts willy nilly, Vukic must have slipped his in the list to be signed.. Seems to have been here forever.
